If you like games like Her Story or other atmospheric investigation games, this is a great game. With just 5 levels very short but gives you some hours to play. Worth to get in every sale.
This game was awesome! I really like the concept. Last levels were kinda long and I had to listen to them few times so it started to get kinda boring but the stories were really interesting. A lot was going on and it was confusing at times. I had hard time connecting the dots but I had fun. I wish the game was longer. I wouldn't say no to few more chapters. The only thing that disappointed me about the game was its short length and the lack of English translations for the dlcs. PLEASE GIVE ME MORE CHAPTERS PLEASEEE
Crazy audio-based deduction game with twists that you don't see coming! Also recommend the free DLC!
[WARNING : This game requires you to sign up a EULA to play it, something that I only noticed after purchasing the game. Which kind of pushed me to not recommend this due to not appreciating this kind of practice even if it was disclosed already] My feelings towards this game are complicated... I was introduced to this game in 2019 (which I just realized was the same year of its release) by a friend who told me to check it out and enjoyed myself thoroughly playing it. But now that I've bought it myself and played it again after 6 years ... I don't know, it's not holding up to what I've experienced before. If I had to sum it up in one statement : The idea is amazing, but the execution is lackluster. - The game doesn't rely much on its main medium to enhance the experience or make it more challenging. The most you can get is the occasional impersonation or picking up on voice tones in calls to figure out whether it's coming from inside the building or outside. Besides that, the cases are as simple as they can get. All you have to do is be at the right place on the right time, listen, and that's it. No sleuthing or deductions needed. The only exception being the DLC, because that's the only challenging case in my opinion. But I find its execution to be wack because the 2nd Case is just replaying the first with the addition of one room ... Making it, oh so boring. - There are no subtitles, and this seems to be a common complaint from what I've gathered from other reviews. And I agree. If you're sticking to not including subtitles (hearing impaired individuals be damned), I would expect eloquent voice acting. And this is by no means shade towards the actors themselves, I just find that some deliveries are indiscernible. Again, the DLC did a better job on that front, although not by much. But this would have been prevented if we had access to the Sub ... - The story is ... Without going into spoiler territory, the execution of the "twist" was weak. Maybe this is more of a translation issue than a writing one due to the game being original in Chinese, but I just find it to be out of nowhere. The audio cues in the background are not well-made to make the player feel like something is off. If anything, they just add to the atmosphere of being in a room (echo sounds). That one line used by the woman you're talking to between case 3 and 4 feels like a throwaway line. You can't build a whole overarching plot twist on one line like that and feel like it ties the entire narrative up. - The writing for the dialogue leaves a lot to be desired. Again, could be a translation issue, so I can't comment about the native language of the game. - I have nowhere to add this but the feature for where you leave notes on the audio ? Get rid, or turn it into time stamps that can be clicked on for replay conveniences. No need for what you wrote to fly by the screen the moment you reach its segment. I don't know. The more I write down my thoughts, the more I get confused about my feelings towards the game. Because, yes, the game is fun regardless of what I wrote above (in fact, I did recommend it to my friends). But to an avid mystery game enjoyer or someone who's seeking more detective work ? I don't think this is the game for you. And I think I'm leaning towards the latter. With that aside, I hope that we get other games that build up on this concept. There is enough games that rely on visual clues than audible, and I think there is a lot to explore on this front. TLDR : If you're not hearing impaired and a casual detective game enjoyer ? Feel free to give this a try. If you're not ? Maybe look for another game.
Agree with the other reviews -- concept cool, but execution is quite weak. Disclaimer, i played this in English and not in its natively published language. The voice acting was very mediocre/weak for a game purely built on audio. That and the writing are very cheesy and cringe, making the game feel like such a slog. Additionally, I feel like there was very little deducing needed. I wish there were more leaps in logic needed... I feel a lot of the characters did monologues and you just had to wait for them to admit something. The game is very short (5 levels), so this was disappointing. Completing the game only takes so long because you're physically limited by the length of the audio clips and how fast you can listen to them. Overall, I wouldn't rec. Maybe it's better in Chinese? But in English, the execution is a huge miss and I didn't enjoy this that much at all... (Luckily tho, I got this on sale)
可玩度比较高,没有难到想不出来的程度,仔细想的话还是可以通过自己的思考和探索推理出来。线索逻辑性比较强,不会感到无厘头。悬疑党可以冲一下
this was an amazing game. I didn't see how the plot was forming at all until the last episode where it blew me away. A great experience, and worth much more than i paid for.
