Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The biggest piece of DOG SH#T. This game shouldn't cost 60 bucks when it isn't even compatible with modern graphic cards. The "fatal error" that occurs randomly is embarrasing and shouldn't be happening with a gem of game like FFXII. Emulate it instead of buying. I would've returned my money if I haven't bought it a year ago. F##K SE.
I had a really good time with this game, albeit with a lot of confusion regarding the progression system. Pros: + The world is MASSIVE with a ton of hidden stuff to find. The maps are all uniques. The cities, towns, and settlements all feel alive and bustling with NPC activities with dialogues that constantly change based on your progress, hinting you on side bosses you can find once they're available. + Very streamlined gameplay. Pop in, go to a map, and let your gambits do their job. No field-to-battle transitions, no victory posing every 10 seconds, it's all one smooth flow. + Story is fairly grounded, but I was still invested in it. The main plot itself is short and you get all the background lores from optional areas and NPCs. One thing I know is that Vaan is massively overhated, dude contributed quite a lot to the cast. Basch barely did anything... + The soundtrack... so full of whimsy and adventure... Cons: - I liked how the game progresses at first; farming stuff, getting LPs, selling monster loots, buy equipments, unlock more licenses and so on, but a lot of it feels like nothing happening. They're barely explained & very clunky to navigate. Say you see a license that unlocks Ribbon. What does a Ribbon do, and do I want to be on the lookout for it? Tough luck, google it. - Job combinations matter way less than I thought. Really, it's all in the gear you have, which just turns the license system into a "how do you unlock the BiS gear" puzzle. - In general a lot of this game is just cryptic. Equipment descriptions are the worst, they increase a lot more stats than what their description says. Honestly, just look up a guide for how the game works. 8/10. I only played up to Rank V hunts and finished the main plot, but I might come back for the optional contents.
This game is a little bit of headache for me. The story is good, but not my cup of tea. The gameplay is fine. The graphic is mid, I mean I know this is the remastered version of FFXII, but it's still not good in graphic requirement for me. Also, the game crash a lot. I tried all the tricked on Internet but it still crash unless I deletec manually NVIDIA cache files. Square Enix, would you be a good developer and fix this at least?
~~~ If you are having fatal error ~~~ Windows 11. i run the game by the time i get to the Nabreus deadlands it instantly crashes after the waypoint even if i start the game all over in a brand new game. ~~ Fix: Steam > Steam apps > Common > FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE > x64 > FFXII_TZA Find the launcher " FFXII_TZA " Right click properties, make sure you check the box for "Run in compatibility mode" set it to windows 8 / i also checked " Run this program as an administrator" ~~ Side notes inside the folder x64 you need to pay attention. Every single time you run into Fatal Error for me it was creating a 6 Gig dump file every single time. when i opened up the folder it was holding 350G and ff12 is only 29G... So pay attention and make sure u check the folder size to see if its dumping empty file sizes into it. I hope this finds you before you crash out. I love this game and this was really pssing me off.. and if i encounter anymore bugs ill try to edit this but as of 8/30/2026 this solved my issue.
Game runs great after you turn vsync off and also turn shader caching off. limit the framerate on display to 60 in the nvidia control panel per program setting.
The game is great, and I would absolutely recommend it. However, what is NOT great is that the game might fail to start due to 'Fatal error encountered', even if it initially works for a good while. For me, this error started appearing after 6 hours of playtime across three sessions, and then it failed on the fourth session. The fix is easy: installing the unofficial tkMalloc fix. However, installing unofficial fixes should not be necessary just to be able to play a game, so I can't really recommend the game. If you're OK with installing an unofficial fix, the game is still great though.
This is a great Phat ass Fran simulator, there is also a RPG attached and supposedly its good.
