I would situate my experience with Fear the Spotlight somewhere between Mouthwashing and Resident Evil. The game begins in a very classic way. Two friends, Vivian and Amy, sneak into their school library at night to use a Ouija board. Of course, they're just having fun, never imagining that a spirit will answer. And ô surprise! The spirits did answer. Now Vivian and Amy are separated and plunged into a distorted and nightmarish version of reality. What follows is an adventure split into two parts, each focusing on a different protagonist. Perhaps it's because I had just played a much more complicated game of the same genre, but I found the beginning of Fear the Spotlight so easy it was absurd. The "puzzles" were given with the solution already provided, or with so many hints for such basic actions that it became ridiculous. So, the beginning of the game left me with mixed feelings. But after progressing a bit further, the game improves considerably. In addition to the puzzle-based progression, there are stealth sequences that add a touch of tension to a horror game that remains very accessible for the genre. But, the game focuses more on the story than anything else. Even though the beginning of the game is rather cliché, in the end, I really enjoyed the story. Besides reuniting our two friends, we uncover the story of a past tragedy, in episode 1 with Vivian. And episode 2 focuses on Amy's personal story. I slightly preferred episode 2, which I found better structured. Overall the game is well staged, with a satisfying conclusion. And throughout, the dialogs benefits from good voice acting. In comparison, I do regret the almost complete absence of music. Certain sequences, like the introduction, would have been much more impactful with music. Despite a somewhat lackluster start, I really enjoyed my adventure and its heroines, I highly recommend Fear the Spotlight.
O maior susto é abrindo o game kkkkkkk Muito bom 10/10

Haunting nostalgia at its best. Fear the Spotlight gives you characters that you root for instantly, followed by non-stop curiosity spikes from every clue you find. The game makes you want to click on everything. All the micro-interactions make this a really fun play; you can actually feel a disc being inserted into a DVD player or the knob of a radio when switching stations. Fear the Spotlight makes great use of sounds and surprises to keep you on your toes, building up a lot of tension when exploring and momentum for the jump scares. Give it a play if you want a perfect balance of exploratory puzzles and horror elements with great mysteries to be solved.
If you're looking for an introduction to the survival horror genre that isn't too difficult or scary, I can't think of a better game to recommend than Fear the Spotlight. Each of the two chapters is bite-sized (I finished the full game in under 3 hours casually), but full of all the usual survival horror tropes to explore like letters, diary entries, various tools, environmental puzzles, and more. Mix all of that with a small helping of "hide from the monster" segments and the whole experience falls together quite nicely. With regards to its difficulty, checkpoints and healing items are forgivingly plentiful, and the puzzles were all solvable with clues available without looking up a guide (which is something I usually end up doing, since I am bad at puzzles). Scares are present, but on the tame side for the horror genre, and there's no gore. It's very much in line with PG-13 horror movies and wears those influences on its sleeve. The last thing I want to briefly mention is the story, which I won't spoil any of, but if you are LGBTQIA+ (like me) and/or BIPOC, then this game is "woke" as hell and made just for you. Absolutely play it. It's been one of my favorite horror games since it came out.
Yep, that's a good one! If you're like me who prefers horror games that are not extremely scary, but still retain spooky atmosphere, then that's your pick. The graphics are neat, and the puzzles are fine-tuned to be engaging without being overly convoluted. I really recommend checking this one out.
I Need A Lesbian Girl In My Life Like How Vivian Has Amy Such An Amazing Game With Really Fun Puzzles
Fear The Spotlight is a cool cozy horror game, very smooth to go through! Loved the tactile interactions all throughout the game, they felt super satisfying. I felt a bit underwhelmed at the end of Chapter 1, but Chapter 2 definitely made the game for me. It was more focused and well-rounded, both story and level design-wise, with stronger horror bits. I could tell the devs were more experienced and bold at that point. Overall, a neat little qualitative experience!
