Can't even start the game. EA wants me to resubscribe to some sort of service first. F that. Update: was able to get logged in, but didn't care for the gameplay and the movement made me nauseous.
11/10, really good
One of the most beautiful game I've played. The art style is simple, yet very colorful and stunning. The music is very calming and pleasant to the ears. Even history has hidden depths. Just sit, forget everyday problems, take your time and relax.

Obvious downside: You're forced into using Origin, oh sorry, ea App or whatever it's called now. This already sours the experience. Then you get into the game with its very over-bloomy graphics, you follow some deer thing, you "sing" to it, producing the most hideous sound ever experienced in a video game. The deer then follows you around, cute, and activates platforms for you, even cuter. Then, you sing to some cute raccoon thingies ... and they do nothing, but follow you around. Cute? Yes. Useful? Doesn't seem that way. Then stuff happens, you follow the marker on the map, you collect crystals, you get into a cutscene where evil things attack a mama bird and nab some of their eggs. You save mama and go hunt down the eggs. You witness some bear thingy kill one of the evil egg-nappers, then pick up the egg itself ... and then I don't know what to do, because the game has almost 0 guidance. I guess, I COULD go after the other 2 eggs first, but I really don't feel like it ... Dr. Google tells me I'm supposed to nab the egg BEFORE big bear grabs it ... or alternatively use some sort of "fruit" (whatever fruit is in this game, the green orbs?) to make him drop it ... but there is no fruit around anywhere. I checked up and down. Combine that with the hard on the eyes graphics (I know it's a style, but it's really hard to look at), the boring because almost non-existent gameplay, the non-existent story and the somehow pretty dead world, as well as the very wonky controls and the lack of any sort of tutorial or guidance in a game that barely clocks in at about 5 hours supposedly, and I just don't see this experiment having succeeded. Which is a shame, because I think it could have ... with a bit more attention to detail, a bit more actual gameplay, and a bit more passion to actually create pleasing sounds instead of ... this crooning! The whole neighbourhood now probably thinks I'm a weirdo ...

Fe’s mechanics are built around movement, perception, and environmental interaction in ways that feel organic and rewarding. You navigate a vibrant forest world with fluid controls — climbing, gliding, and sprinting feel smooth and intuitive, giving traversal a natural joy rather than a chore. The core mechanic — song-based interaction — is where Fe truly shines. You don’t just click to interact; your voice connects you to the world. Singing lets you communicate with creatures, unlock paths, and change the behavior of flora and fauna. This isn’t just aesthetic — it’s a mechanic that reshapes encounters and exploration. Learning new vocal abilities expands what you can traverse and how you engage with the world’s systems. Enemy encounters aren’t about combat but about stealth, strategy, and understanding behavior. Predators react to sound and presence, so movement and singing become tactical choices. You decide when to call, when to hide, and when to use learned vocals to alter the environment and avoid danger. This creates a risk-reward loop that’s subtle but satisfying: push forward, learn more of the forest’s language, but stay aware of threats. Environmental puzzles and traversal work mechanically but not artificially. Unlocking paths requires mastery of new song abilities, which encourages backtracking in meaningful ways rather than feeling repetitive. The way you move through trees, across chasms, and around threats always feels directly tied to the systems you learn, not just arbitrary progression gates. Overall, Fe’s mechanics are thoughtful and unique: the blend of traversal, sound-based interaction, and ecosystem awareness creates a gameplay loop that’s immersive and satisfying without ever feeling forced. 10/10 — fluid movement, inventive interaction, and beautifully integrated mechanics.
It was a fun game! :D Not my favourite, but not terrible. It wasn't too long. The animals of the forest are adorable! I thought it could use more detailed instructions (or a tutorial), but that could be from my ineptness. As well, I started the game then took a little break before finishing it. I got it for around $5 CAD at the Steam winter sale, so it was worth the money. Thank you! 🧡
