This game is a bad port of a mobile phone game. Some puzzles present in the mobile version no longer exist in the PC version. In addition there are bugs in the PC version as well as a secret level (inaccessible? in the PC version) which is linked to obtaining an achievement and therefore unachievable. Developers do not respond to player issues on Steam.
Pros: You can run You can use number keys to instantly select items Cons: A very buggy game - Mine cart level has an issue where you can fall through the cart and get stuck in the floor. Restarting the level is the only solution - Level 15 has a huge problem with those tetris looking thingies that you need to rotate to solve the puzzle. Their hitbox is so broken that in most cases they refuse to rotate unless you click on the exact pixel. Tried changing FPS, toggling Vsync, changing resolution. No luck. The only solution was to click and swipe over and over again until they decide to move. - Level 16 the secret note under the wheel on the ship simply can't be picked up. Certain graphical issues where you can see through walls and floors because they don't merge properly making a gap into the out of bounds section. Just like in the previous game, you can click on already completed puzzle doors and the game will zoom in on nothing. All in all, if you want to play Faraway games, just play them on mobile. They were not made for PC and this is just so lazily stitched together. The dev never goes back to fix issues that have been reported. The first game STILL has a game breaking glitch where the solution you see in the game doesn't work, the one from the mobile version of the game does, but you don't get those clues.
Absolutely would not recommend. The achievements are impossible to obtain 100% in as the is no secret level in this PC version, and the master of destruction for breaking all the pots doesn't register at all. Most of the puzzles are fine, same as the earlier 2 games but some of the solutions for secret notes are totally random with no relation to the hints what so ever. Its the most frustrating this to have stuff be so broken you cant even finish the achievements and delete this from your life. Save yourself the money and time, DO NOT BUY!!!
This is another fun casual game from Pine. There's lots to explore across all the levels, none of the puzzles are difficult. A couple of puzzles in the later levels need a bit of thought. The puzzles in Pine's previous game, Jungle Escape, were definitely a bit harder. What I found more difficult than the door opening puzzles was finding all the notes, some of which required going back to a previous puzzle and solving it a different way. I hit a glitch in level 9 and had to go through it 4 times before I could complete it. It auto saves continuously so it doesn't matter where you leave off, it restarts in exactly that place with no lost progress. It's worth every penny of the price. It's a shame this is to be the last in the series because the faraway games are nice casual games.
Developers abandon it, game is incomplete, not finish. Impossible to 100%. Extremely bad port from a MOBILE GAME. -Achievement Secret level: As the game is unfinished not all levels exist in the game. So this achievement is not possible to obtain. -Achievement Master of Destruction: Even if you do it & brake them all, the game will not give you your achievement. It's buged. -Achievement Been There Done That: Same as above, very easy to do, yet the game will not give you your achievement. It's buged. You can also get stuck in any level with walking moving platform. Such as The mining cart level, the rotating upwards stairs level, the ship level, etc... Be careful you can also fall down under the map. In all this circumstances your only option is to restart the level & do it all over again. (I once got stuck 3 seconds before finishing the level) Some puzzles made for mobile touch, perform extremely poorly on PC. A great example is level 15, you will suffer with the ''tetris'' puzzles. As the hit box and moving commands makes it almost impossible to control where you move the puzzle pieces. The '''puzzles''' for the secret notes in each level are illogical, incoherent; deprived of any sense whatsoever. You WILL have to spend hours trying your luck, or you WILL have to see a tutorial to ''solve'' them. Not only are some levels missing, but some puzzles that are in the mobile version, are missing as well. Yes a super buggy puzzle single player with missing levels & puzzles. Yet another case of Steam & the developers giving 0 dam, & and just allowing/putting broken games to steel your hard earn money.
Lovely, very approachable puzzle game. Basic graphics but pleasing. Puzzles get progressively more interesting, They are not really difficult. The atmosphere is gentle, music is relaxing. A few bugs have been addressed as they come up. Once these are all fixed the game will be very nice. Gentle, relaxing all around nice. Same developer that made Cats in Time. Check that one out also. Very fun.
El juego es super simple solo es cuestion de logica. Muy limpio el juego y super tranquilo. Aqui mi review: https://youtu.be/Ua_5wmPu-f8
This is the 3rd in a series of 3 (so far) satisfying first-person puzzle games. They all play exactly the same, so I will copy-and-paste the below from my review of the first one: Production values are not very high as these games were also released for mobile devices, but they work very well for the gameplay. The music is pretty and calm but unfortunately repeats itself for the entire game. It would have been nice to get more variety, perhaps a track per level. The "story", really just the piecing together of notes you find, is barely there and has nothing to do with the gameplay. A missed opportunity to provide depth. The game engine is a bit buggy: sometimes the in-game camera doesn't work, producing all-black photos. You can use other methods to take screenshots instead. By the way, this paragraph is true for all three games in the series. But you've come for the puzzles! And they are nice, of medium difficulty and mostly fair. There are a few annoying ones that require quick action. For those you absolutely want to play with a mouse and keyboard, even though the game does support gamepads. All the games have at least two puzzle-solving components. The first is just completing the levels. The second is searching each level for three notes. The first note is always in plain sight, the second is hidden, and the third involves solving an extra puzzle. Finding that third note can be tricky, often those are the most difficult puzzles in the game, requiring you to think outside the box.
this game is good i love it it's awesome and the music and the background.... epic
