Massive game design fail: Puzzles aren't solvable in game - you have to use a web browser and email client. If you don't know that - and the game doesn't tell you - you are stuck. When the game studio closes down and the domain isn't paid for anymore - good luck... You also need to be fine with sending an email to some server outside steam. I get the attempt at being immersive, but when I play a game, I don't want to be send to the real internet for solutions. I don't want to use my email adress. Something like this should be disclosed.
I liked the premise, but having to actually search in a web browser for clues is a little too much. Especially when it's very ambiguous searches like the admin password. The amount of things I tried. It's also one of those games that may not be playable (without a guide) if the domain and email account go down in the future. The ending was also just meh. Didn't make the experience seem worthwhile. Unique idea but not implemented well in my opinion. Too much ambiguity when it came to searching.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this game because of the puzzles in the game. The story itself is fine and the music is fine. The concept is very creative, utilizing information outside of the game sort of like an ARG and. Some of the puzzles in the game are also pretty unique, like how when you leave in the taxi you need to find out the address of the original train station. That being said, it is possible to brute force by just clicking every possible option which would probably take an hour. A lot of the puzzles I find very creative and interesting. However, this is where the praise ends. A lot of the puzzles are either too easy or too hard, which is common in games like these where developers may not have an idea of the actual difficulty of puzzles. However, some puzzles have almost no information given, meaning it's pretty much impossible to actually get the answer. For example, you need to send a specific phrase to a bot in a real email actually sent by you. I would never actually try this without explicit confirmation from the game itself as I wouldn't want to send some random creepy phrase to a real person or share my email address in this way. You also need to go to a specific website and decipher information from it to input into the game. However, I didn't believe there was adequate information to suggest to the player to go to that specific site. Perhaps if you went into the game knowing more about the specific requirements of the puzzles you would've thought of it, but I didn't read too much about the game and only knew that it required using "the real world." I had to use a guide to complete some portions of the game because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or how I was even supposed to know the answer. Conceptually, I really like the game. Realistically though, I can't recommend it. All these problems could be solved if a fake email/website were built into the game where it would only work if you inputted the correct address. This removes a lot of my safety/privacy concerns about going to random sites and sending random emails. I would also appreciate more hints about what would needs to be done, especially concerning the "real life" portions of the game. Good concept, flawed execution.
Let me start of by saying that this is not a bad game, it's a decent puzzle game. I think it's unique and interesting and I like looking up actual real life information to use in game. But as much as I want to like this game, I can't. There is too much that doens't really work for me personally. First, the using of an outside browser. Now, I do like that you actually have to look up things, however that wasn't clear for me and so I was stuck until I watched a tutorial. If there had been clearer indications that you had to do this, that would've helped alot. Also, I don't think certain clues were clear enough. I understand that you need to think about the clues and really read through them, but even so some clues were just unclear to me. I think it's neat that there's
an actual website that you have to get access to
in order to proceed. But I don't really like
having to use my actual email to proceed
, I wish it was doable with just the information of the website. Lastly, I do think it was a little too short for the ending to have any impact or feeling. It would've been interesting to form some better connection with the contatcperson.
I genuinely enjoyed the whole idea of this game! It was super creative blending actual research and cracking codes and whatnot. But i feel like i shouldn't have to rely on a guide to get myself to finish a game. Maybe if the game were *slightly* clearer I would give it another chance. If you made another game like this I would try it. But this one was just alright. Keep going and I know your games will become even better than the last.
It's a novel idea to solve the puzzle via google and email, but I'd love some hints or tutorials beforehand. I had to figure it out by watching a walkthrough video. I spent 10 mins trying to solve the puzzle, only to find out that I just need to google “star war famous phrase" I was really discouraged. All I want to say is that I regret buying this game. Please play the demo or watch some walkthrough first so you don't make the same mistake I did.

Wish I didn't buy this
