Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Hello! Far Cry — what a legendary name! I think almost everyone has played or at least heard about this series at some point. Far Cry 1 — I had never played it before, although I had heard that it was one of the best games of its time. I'll keep this short. I'm sure that back in the day this game must have been absolutely incredible. Great missions, beautiful scenery, nice textures, awesome gunshot sounds — and then you add experiments and mutants on top of that. Sounds like one hell of a game. However, I don't think it has really stood the test of time. Playing it in 2026, the game feels very clunky and sluggish. The AI can be REALLY stupid in some places, while in others enemies will simply shoot you through walls because the game is apparently coded in a way that makes the AI completely ignore certain obstacles. I played on the hardest difficulty, and maybe that was my mistake — I wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge. Well... I lasted about 6 hours. Bugs and crashes AI that can kill you through walls Getting completely destroyed by ONE hit (which feels way too unrealistic, even on the hardest difficulty) The gameplay — which is supposed to be the whole point of the game — becomes more frustrating than enjoyable Of course, it's the hardest difficulty, and yes, it's a shooter where you're supposed to be in danger all the time... BUT. Two years ago I completely finished the original Call of Duty (2003) on HARD difficulty. It took me around 16–20 hours. Here, after 6 hours, I might have completed only 25% of the game? I honestly don't even know. But every level felt harder and harder, while the AI just kept behaving more and more ridiculously. And I want to point out that I'm a HUGE fan of old games. I've played three Final Fantasy games, Alone in the Dark, Call of Duty, Gothic, Silent Hill, Rune, Area 51, AvP, TMNT 2003, and many, many others. I'm convinced that games used to be made with more passion and soul, rather than being endless repetitions of the same ideas and the same stories... But even with all my love for old games, I have to give Far Cry 1 a 5/10. I just can't give it more. And yes, I didn't even finish the game — maybe the difficulty was part of the problem — but honestly, getting any real enjoyment out of the gameplay is REALLY difficult. Especially after the first 1–2 hours. Of course, if I were rating it for its time, I'd probably give it a 9/10. But playing it today, the game feels rough, outdated, and very frustrating. So, would I recommend playing it? If you really want to experience it, I'd say play it on Easy and stop whenever you start getting bored or frustrated. No point in making the experience even more painful. And for all you hardcore masochists out there: welcome to Dark Souls, where every bullet on the hardest difficulty feels like the end of the world. 😂 Have a great day, everyone, and stay happy! P.S. (Це реально просто бомбьож дупи проходити цю гру. Вона їбе з усіх сторін. 10 разів подумайте перед тим як завантажити її)

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Oh man the glory days of gaming all over again, best game ever created just about. Its up there, put it on extreme and uggh, not that easy? I wish the studios would get really creative again and concentrate on the atmospheric storyteling as well as game mechanic, rather then just trying to fully simulate reality with the graphics & the rest is ambigious generic i cant connect with anymore?. This games graphics are very good for the time and they greatly succeed in creating the ambience of a ww2 Japanese base on an island somehwere in the Pacific forgotten by time. The gameplay is awesome the ai soldier sims work together also to flush you out when detected & they mouth off at you once noticed just the right agressively funny way, its a scream blasting your way through & in armed vehicles, a perfect potential for gameplay chaos. The sneak elements excellent also its so well thought out an open world but not too big so that you feel repetitively disconnected from it. Theres a constant comedy element also thaTs quite the tongue in cheek and that along with the serious orchestrated tension building scores is highly entertaining for me! Nah i love this game played it in the day loved it then been a long while glad i kept it. Im taking my time this time also on extreme, il be at it for a long while id say, they do not make games like this anymore folks, it is postively a single player bloodthirsty quasi sci fi ultraviolence advernture island gem. Hard to beat ,if you know, you know. There will probably never be games with such original storytelling creativity & execution for its time, as good as this FarCry. Now you know!
Far Cry is a true classic that still holds up remarkably well. Even though it was released in 2004, the huge tropical maps, freedom to tackle enemies with stealth or full-on action, and surprisingly smart AI make it an enjoyable experience. The graphics were revolutionary for their time, and the gunplay remains satisfying. The story is simple but does its job, while the challenging gameplay keeps you on your toes throughout the campaign. The only downsides are a few difficulty spikes, some dated mechanics, and the need for community fixes to run perfectly on modern systems. If you're a fan of classic FPS games, Far Cry is absolutely worth playing and deserves its place as one of the genre's most influential titles. 9/10 from me.
