👍 Recommended One of the best purchases I've ever made during a Steam Sale. I bought Far Cry 4 standard edition for just ₹149, and after spending 76.6 hours in Kyrat, unlocking 33 Steam Achievements, completing the entire main story, all Outposts, Bell Towers, Fortresses, Shangri-La missions, Longinus missions, Yogi & Reggie missions, fully upgrading my crafting, and finishing almost every major side activity, I can confidently say this game gave me far more value than I expected. What's even more special is that this wasn't my first journey through Kyrat. Back when I bought my PlayStation 4 in 2019, one of the best games I purchased on disc was Far Cry 4. At that time, In 2014 my PC wasn't powerful enough to run the game because I didn't have a capable graphics card. I completed the main story on PS4 and absolutely loved it. Ever since then, I always wanted to own this game on Steam as part of my permanent PC collection. Years later, I finally did exactly that. Far Cry 4 has now become the first game I've completed on both PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam). I've replayed some PC games multiple times over the years, but this is the very first title that I've fully completed on two different platforms. That makes this game even more memorable for me. The open world is beautiful and enjoyable to explore. Hunting and crafting are actually meaningful because every upgrade helps throughout the game. Capturing Outposts, liberating Fortresses, climbing Bell Towers, unlocking new weapons and skills—all of it stays fun even after dozens of hours. One thing I really appreciated is that once you liberate an Outpost, clear an area, or collect certain upgrades, they stay completed after saving the game. Unlike Far Cry 2, you don't have to keep repeating the same things again and again, which make exploration much more satisfying. The gameplay is excellent, the combat is smooth, stealth is incredibly fun, and the weapon variety is fantastic. Whether using a silenced rifle, a bow, or going in aggressively, every playstyle feels rewarding. Shangri-La was one of my favorite parts of the game. The atmosphere, visuals, music, and gameplay felt completely different from the rest of the game and made those missions unforgettable. Another thing that makes Far Cry 4 special for me is its setting and the use of Hindi throughout the world. Hearing NPCs shouting in Hindi, the local phrases, and the Indian/Himalayan-inspired atmosphere made Kyrat feel much more alive and immersive. Ubisoft did a great job creating this fictional world. I really wish Ubisoft would add full Hindi voice acting as an official language option in future games—not only in the Far Cry series but also in Assassin's Creed and other Ubisoft franchises. Players who prefer English could still enjoy the original voices, while players like me could choose Hindi for an even more immersive experience. If Ubisoft ever starts supporting full Hindi voice acting in future releases, I'd gladly support those games much earlier, even close to launch instead of waiting for massive discounts. The only content I eventually stopped doing was the collectible grind (Masks, Letters, Journals, Posters, etc.). Not because they're bad, but after more than 76 hours I had already experienced almost everything the game had to offer. I personally prefer meaningful gameplay over collecting hundreds of scattered items just to reach 100% completion. Overall, Far Cry 4 has become my favorite game in the Far Cry series. It delivers an excellent story, satisfying progression, rewarding crafting, memorable characters, fantastic open-world exploration, and incredible value for money. One final thing I'd like to mention is that, after playing multiple games in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 4 is still my favorite, and it always will be. For me, the ranking is simple: 🥇 Far Cry 4 🥈 Far Cry 3 I won't rank the rest because everyone has their own favorites, but for me, Far Cry 4 has always been number one. It was my favorite when I first completed it on PlayStation 4 years ago, and after completing it again on PC with over 76.6 hours of gameplay, I can confidently say that nothing has changed. Far Cry 4 is still the best game in the Far Cry series in my opinion. ₹149 for 76.6 hours of gameplay and counting. That's one of the best value-for-money purchases in my entire Steam library. And perhaps the biggest compliment I can give this game is this: I originally completed it on my PS4 years ago, bought it again on Steam because I genuinely wanted it in my collection, and after finishing it once more on PC, I still don't feel like uninstalling it. Highly Recommended. 👍
spoko giera
Game still lags every 20 seconds despite putting it on high priority and deactivating uneven numbered cores as recommended. Even if you have a NASA PC, you may still not be able to play this game due to its poor compatibility with modern hardware. Great job Ubisoft!
EPIC
