love these games i still play executive assault one with my brother and uncle i love yall. thank you. also this game has the PEAK comedy
This was one of the very first games I purchased when I came over to PC. Though its an "Indie" title, don't let that put you off, it is for all intents and purposes a fill-your-boots RTS. This type of RTS was the first I've ever played where you can either play First Person and pilot/control almost anything (including the biggest space vessels in-game) or play the traditional RTS way where you select your units and order them to go/attack. I do hope that this game gets future add-ons whether a new faction, units or building types, but after sinking nearly 42 hours into this (I use this as a downtime game as I'm a professional content creator working alongside companies like Digital Extremes, Ubisoft and many others). I've found there is always a period of my down time, I come back and play this and that is the secret ingredient of a successful game. I would recommend you try it at the very least. I purchased this full price and at the moment of writing this review (almost a couple of years later), I have NO regrets purchasing <3
great game having a lot of fun no issues. I would love to make a mod for this game!
Its like X4 (from what I've seen of X4) if multiplayer and heavily limited. Not worth the price currently, if you have no friends (like me).
This game is great fun. I can lose myself for hours progressing through the tech trees. I also enjoyed the map editor feature. The feature of switching from RTS to FPS is really cool and I think it is executed very well in EA2. This game is really missing a mod base. I believe this would really make the game shine, in the same way mods did for the C&C series. The game is optimized fairly well, with only minor studdering when high ship counts are hit or if a large group of ships are jumping at once. I think they have something really special here, and I am excited to watch this game grow.
gooj gaem
Excellent idea- subpar execution. The ship flying sucks, the win condition is stupid, and the game struggles to keep itself together. I played for a few hours, did really well, and then lost. I had bombed all opposing teams into oblivion- they couldn't make any new ships to challenge me. Even destroying all buildings (the command post never gets destroyed even if you take it to zero HP) cannot kill the enemy leader. So, I got on the largest troop carrier I had available (6 troops BUT your CEO (he dies, you lose), and next to no defenses or speed). Missed the gate once and the sole remaining building (also would not blow up) in a random sector on my path to the enemy HQ shot me down- ending the session. Oh and the Grand Strategy map is very small, there's almost no real noticeable upgrades, and you're limited on the number of certain buildings you're able to be at each outpost. Some, you can have as many as you'd like. Most other buildings are 3 tops. Great idea. Awful execution.
Too Much Space 6/10
Great
genuinely one of the worst games i've ever played. I was only an executron while a friend was the CEO since i don't really like that type of gameplay, and it was one of the slowest, lamest and most boring gameplays of all time even for the FPS fans out there. It would take a lot of time to get anywhere, and more than half of the times you would die immediately. The times you arrived at your objectives you would get melted by enemy fleets or dumbass invincible turrets, and the even dumber AI soldiers sent for help died immediately. Some ship weapons literally don't fire if you don't have the precise angle of 2° out of 360°. I've never bothered writing something to rate a game, but this was something else
