Reviews
The Reviews are right this game sucks, it's painful to play past part 2 of 20 parts (looking at playthrough on youtube) It looks very pretty though.
Listen to the Negative Reviews
on the bottom is a quick summary I’m the kind of person who always needs to experience a game for myself, which is why I decided to buy this one despite the poor reviews. I appreciate the effort developers put into creating a game because I couldn’t make something like that myself. The music is beautiful and fits the Nordic theme perfectly, as do the setting and characters. But that’s about it. The controls are terrible, sluggish, and far from smooth. The camera is a complete disaster. Boss fights are supposed to be a highlight in games, but here, they’re worse than the regular encounters. What do I mean by worse? Imagine a boss with a pattern of just three attacks that get slightly extended as you chip away at one-third of its health. Or, out of nowhere, the boss might just one-shot you for fun. Some bosses take two or three attempts to beat, but suddenly, on your third try, they’ll introduce a completely new move they’ve never used before. You never really know where to go. While this isn't a huge issue because there isn’t a large map or many NPCs, it’s still frustrating when the answer is so obvious that it leaves you thinking, “No one would have figured that out.” Now, let’s talk about the leveling and upgrade system. Both are terrible, especially for a game released in 2019. Leveling up is super basic—just run in circles killing mobs a couple of times, and you'll usually level up. The stats you gain are so useless that it doesn’t make a noticeable difference whether you fight a boss at level 8 or level 15, or later in the game, at level 28 versus 40. You hardly notice any improvement. The upgrade system is more important, as you can significantly boost your weapon stats, but only up to five times, after which you’re stuck. And don’t get me started on the currency, the "fragments," or the fact that upgrade crystals are story-locked, meaning you can only upgrade your weapons to a certain level at specific points in the story. I have no idea who at Void Studios thought releasing the game in this state was a good idea, but it’s really not good. Mechanics that don’t work, atrocious camera control, and clunky movement that even The Angel of Darkness would laugh at. The only redeeming quality is the calming, beautiful music, but even that is looped endlessly.
Quick Summary
It’s like a 2004 version of Dark Souls, but the difficulty here lies in the bad controls and camera. If you have zero expectations and have already played all the good games, you could force your way through this one. I did manage to complete it 100%, but I only enjoyed the first eight hours—after that, it just got worse. In 2004, this game might’ve been an 8/10, something I’d have played on Xbox, GameCube, or PS2. But today, it’s a 2/10. There are far better games that do this setting justice. One point for the music and another for actually having the guts to release it.

Genuinely one of the worst games i've ever had the misfortune of playing...
I liked this one.
Бразильско-Российская версия "the Legend of Zelda"? Simplesmente não consegui jogar, literalmente. Serviu apenas para ganhar a insígnia! Lamentável...
"Eternity" surprised me in many different ways. It is a fast, rewarding and fun action-adventure with fixed camera and a graphic design that reminds me of a Playstation 2 game in the most positive ways. Might it be wanted or not: The overall feeling of playing a retro adventure gives me a level of enjoyment that drags my mind into the game, forgetting all real-life around me. What comes to the more past-oriented gameplay is the presentation of the story, being told in no-voice, plain and short text elements, telling me all that I need to continie my adventure. During the game, you run as either an elven warrior or a viking warrior (you can only select them at the end, and its only a pseudo-option, because you need one or the other in certain situations), both with two weapons to chose from. There's no character customization, but levelling up is highly rewarding because you grow stronger. Levelling up the weapons on the other hand is a hard thing to do, because the components for crafting are extremely rare. Be aware that you'll visit the same locations over and over again to find that one door that opened through a story event. But - and I don't know why at all - all those re-visits are enjoyable as hell! As is the whole game, that was a nice, refreshing experience!
