Battlefall: State of Conflict - Where the Wasteland is Your Battlefield!
What's new
Patch 0.4.0 has landed! - Try your best at our new mini-campaign with new maps and additional gamemodes.
Embark on a thrilling journey where the armies of a shattered world clash for survival in an epic struggle for strategic dominance.
Battlefall: State of Conflict is a high-octane real-time strategy (RTS) game that catapults you into a post-apocalyptic ruin in which the battle thunder of three distinct factions - 'Earth Forces Network,' 'Scrappers,' and the 'SEL' - rolls across the globe.
Build your base, train your forces, evolve your strategies with unrivaled freedom and no pop-limits. Your fortifications are only as efficient as your imagination allows it to be. How you complete your objectives is entirely up to you: gather resources and amass your armies to steam-roll the enemy, or formulate and engage an alternate approach-- with Battlefall Upgrades, Base Expansion units, and Unit Veterancy at your disposal no two battles are ever the same!
Battlefall Upgrade System:
Battlefall: State of Conflict’s unique take on the RTS genre offers players limitless freedom in customizing their forces on the fly via the Battlefall Upgrade. Players will have to spend these rare rewards, earned in the crucible of battle, to explore various strategies to overcome their enemies. With endless possibilities for tactical approaches, and no building or population limits, every battle is a unique experience.
The Last Stand of Humanity - EFNET:
Recovering from the global devastation unleashed by SEL, the last bastion of human civilization lies in the hands of Earth Forces Network (EFNET). Armed with the modified remnants of modern military technology, they stand against the chaotic forces threatening to rob them of their future and smother the world in eternal darkness.
Take command of the disciplined and determined forces of EFNET, strategizing to reclaim the wastelands and restore peace and dmocracy to a ruined world.
The Anarchic Horde - The Scrappers:
Fuelled by the madness induced by post-apocalyptic radiation, starvation, and mutation the Scrappers are a relentless faction of waste-roaming anarchists who thrive on chaos. Their savage caravans repurpose, scrap and salvage everything in their path to craft makeshift war machines and weapons--including their slain enemies. Crude, cruel, and homicidal.
Brace yourself for unrelenting battles against this savage horde from a dystopian realm that will test your strategic mettle.
Rise of the Machines - SEL:
A ruthless evolution of a humble automation suite which once promised humanity freedom from the dreary tasks of daily life, unlimited economic growth, and appliances that play holiday-appropriate jingles from a tiny speaker. Slow to expand in numbers but armed with mind-bending technology, Synthetic Enhanced Lifeforms dominate the battlefield with inhuman precision and efficiency.
Lead the SEL forces into battle where computer intelligence attempts to delete the messy irrationality of the human spirit.
Three Factions, Three Tales:
Immerse yourself in the rich narrative of three distinct story-driven campaigns, each unveiling the struggles, sacrifices, and aspirations of one of the factions as it navigates the complexities of a world grappling with its own demise.
Varied Gameplay Modes:
Battlefall: State of Conflict offers a plethora of gameplay modes to keep you engaged. Dive into offline and online skirmish modes, team up with friends in co-op campaigns, or unleash your creativity with the built-in level editor and 'rule editor.'
Pros:
✅ The story reminds me a lot of the Krush Kill ’N Destroy RTS game, and the factions are similar. ✅ Short but interesting campaign (two more campaigns for different factions are planned). ✅ The graphics strongly resemble classic Westwood games (Command & Conquer). ✅ Achievements.
Cons:
❌ The AI is really dumb. It just charges its entire army into your base, and if it doesn’t have units that can destroy units like helicopters for example, it will simply stand still and take all the damage until it’s destroyed. ❌ The controls are a bit confusing and you can’t change them. ❌ Special abilities are a nice addition, but there are literally only one or two abilities that are actually useful, the rest are mostly pointless. For example, the attack and distance ability is obsolete. That creates a ridiculous issue where your air units have a longer attack range than the anti-aircraft defense towers... ❌ Because of these abilities, the campaign offers no real challenge even on the hardest difficulty. At the beginning of almost any mission, you can just build decent defenses and then spam helicopters. ❌ You can't skip cutscenes, you can't save. ❌ Bad pathfinding with large armies... Each unit effectively takes up one space, moving big armies through narrow areas becomes extremely frustrating, as units constantly get stuck. ❌ The price is too high for what the game currently offers. I understand that this is an Early Access game, but there isn’t much to enjoy right now. I might give this a positive review in the future when the game is finished.
At this moment game need more development, controls are need to be more acurate, unit pathfinding etc. But the worst thing form me is that battlefield isnt clear. Game need to be more readable. Sometimes its hard to recognize units, structures on field. So maybe its need to rework colour placement ? dont know, but its hard to have fun
I'm sorry I can't recommend this game. Nothing wrong with it, but I keep finding new games that try to bring back the Westwood's Command and Conquer / Red Alert formula and don't quite cut it. They achieve the general dynamics and feel of the old Westwood RTS, but otherwise don't bring anything else to the table. Battlefall: State of Conflict has unappealing graphics that somehow look more blocky than the venerable Westwood titles. The asymetric sides are also uninteresting, one being the human like "good boys" and the other the deranged mutated "bad guys". You could argue that Westwood's C&C and Red Alert also had shallow, Manichean sides, but they were a bit more interesting. Maybe it's me, maybe I've outgrown the old 1990-2000 RTS formulas, but I moved to play something else very quickly. maybe it's your ball, but considering you can play the old Westwood titles this is based on in many ways, including the free OpenRA project, I'd rather recommend you to play those than this title. For anyone interested, the game runs excellently in Linux via Wine/Proton.
Uyruklar eklenmeli. Çeşitlilik arttırılmalı. Grafik yükseltmesine ihtiyacı var çok eksikliği mevcut. Örneğin, lav silahlı asker çıkartıyorsunuz attığı ateş paintte yapılmış siyah püskürtücü olarak gözüküyor. Dövüş mekaniği zayıf. Oyunun dengelenmesi gerekiyor. Fiyatı ederinin çok üzerinde. Önermiyorum.
So far love the game. There are some pathfinding issues that need to be resolved still but its early in development. Campaign so far is great, can't wait for more content. Great game that gives you option to turtle. Its not just your standard of the mill rush RTS.
this game should have pricetag of 2 dollars, not 10
[EN] Battlefall: State of Conflict is a wonderful RTS old school game with base building, rocking music, and everything that fans of old retro pixel RTS want and yes the price is fully in order why simply because the developers are there with heart, yes so far there were no patches, but I'm sure that after collecting feedback, the patches will follow. I like the game. The only thing I care about is more content... but most of the games these days end up pushing games out with barely little things to offer. Game-flation in short terms. Games back then were fully packed and ready to go but now a lot of the gaming companies give so little these days. But going back to Battlefall, what is needed is more content. That's it.
It's alright, but at this price, you may as well just get Tempest Rising.
So far I've really enjoyed what I've played and gives me alot of CNC red alert 2 and CNC Tibirum sun vibes which is a good Posiive Controls are simple and easy to use I like that holding right click does a attach move which I thought was a good idea but it missing multiple command inputs you see in other games when you press shift then click There is only 1 story campaign which is very well voice acted but they are planning to do a lot more which if they manage to deliver I think could make this quite a memorable game The two playable factions are fun and very unique from each other dispute having similar build paths which I think is good Overall if the team manage to deliver on what they are promising and listen to the community then this could be an amazing game that could stick with alot of people.
