About
Zombie Possum Games Inc, in collaboration with Darwin's Toys Inc, is excited to bring the Empire Builder series of board games to your PC. As fans of these games, we at Zombie Possum Games Inc sought more time in our busy lives to enjoy them. To our surprise, we couldn't find any playable versions online using the services that we love like Steam and Xbox. That changes now. With the release of Empire Builder - Europe and the license to offer all other installments in the franchise, we are partnering with Darwin's Toys to publish the latest versions on Steam, iOS, Xbox, and other platforms.
If you are an avid train gamer in the physical space, we hope you will enjoy our adaption of the board game to the digital game space.
Features to be included in the initial release include the following:
All of the game's resources, cities, demand cards and event cards, fully implemented in the digital game.
A select number of popular house rules. (TBD)
2-6 player multiplayer between Steam friends and those with a ZPG account.
A user interface that is designed to make the game play of the boardgame faster. Our goal is to get 4 player game play down to under an hour or 45 minutes for experienced players.
Tournament rules.
Current tournament approved map coming soon for the physical board game. (published by Darwin's Toys)
2009 map, cards and rules.
Planned features for after release.
MacOS support
Xbox and controller support.
Additional languages.
This is the first in a series of Empire Builder games that we plan to release alongside Darwin's Toys' re-release of the physical board games. As avid players ourselves, this is a passion project; one we hope allows us to be able to play with our friends when getting together in person is less than ideal.

Game allows a solo mode to learn the game mechanics and allow you to check the different possible run builds before jumping in to a multi-player.
Update: After working with the developers I was able to get into the game. The response time from the bug report I sent to Kressilac responding on this was very fast. The solo challenge plays like the board game does on a normal table top. I have changed my recommendation to positive on this. Original post: I would love to be trying the game out but cannot due to login failures. The game is supposed to authenticate with Steam to allow you to play, however, both automatic login on launch and manually logging in fail. Therefore I am unable to even try the game I just purchased. Until login failures are fixed I cannot recommend the game. That said if they get fixed I will create a new review to update information here.
Great game that represents the board game very well. Lots of fun.
Great game - looking forward to the upcoming solo play options
I had all the Mayfair games back in the day. This is a very well done conversion for the PC. Thank you for bringing this to the PC it was well overdue.
Great game, I have played the actual board game for about 15 years and always wished for a version like this. It is very well made and my brother and I played a game together and enjoyed it. I would like to see AI someday so I can play a quick game alone but overall I'm very pleased with what the devs have accomplished.
I love the North America board game but can't find people who know the game and want to play very often. This is a great implementation that is easy to use. I hope to see a AI to play against and I am willing to be a tester (I have over 20 years testing software).
I've been a fan of crayon rail games since they were invented. This is a faithful port of Eurorails (or Empire Builder: Europe), and it plays beautifully. There have been some bugs, and there are no bots yet, but the devs are actively involved and responsive on Discord. Highly recommended for rail fans!
great game still has some bugs but nothing to bad but the devs r active on discord and in some cases they fixed problems when they happen but most of the time u got to wait for an update which has been coming out in decent time frames great game
This is an excellent implementation of the Eurorails game. The development team is smoothing out some rough spots in the user interface, but they're doing so diligently and promptly. The boardgame version of Empire Builder: Europe is expected to be finished soon, and I expect that when it is finished, you will be able to play that version on this app.
