About
Zombie Possum Games Inc, in collaboration with Darwin's Toys Inc, is excited to bring the Empire Builder series of board games to your PC. As fans of these games, we at Zombie Possum Games Inc sought more time in our busy lives to enjoy them. To our surprise, we couldn't find any playable versions online using the services that we love like Steam and Xbox. That changes now. With the release of Empire Builder - Europe and the license to offer all other installments in the franchise, we are partnering with Darwin's Toys to publish the latest versions on Steam, iOS, Xbox, and other platforms.
If you are an avid train gamer in the physical space, we hope you will enjoy our adaption of the board game to the digital game space.
Features to be included in the initial release include the following:
All of the game's resources, cities, demand cards and event cards, fully implemented in the digital game.
A select number of popular house rules. (TBD)
2-6 player multiplayer between Steam friends and those with a ZPG account.
A user interface that is designed to make the game play of the boardgame faster. Our goal is to get 4 player game play down to under an hour or 45 minutes for experienced players.
Tournament rules.
Current tournament approved map coming soon for the physical board game. (published by Darwin's Toys)
2009 map, cards and rules.
Planned features for after release.
MacOS support
Xbox and controller support.
Additional languages.
This is the first in a series of Empire Builder games that we plan to release alongside Darwin's Toys' re-release of the physical board games. As avid players ourselves, this is a passion project; one we hope allows us to be able to play with our friends when getting together in person is less than ideal.

Reviews
Still working on making it smoother, but it's nice to be able to play online.
love it can't wait for the others
Controls work well. I've always loved this game. This online version did not disappoint.
The physical board game of this requires time to learn the locations of the cities and good, but this online game is a huge advantage, as it points those out to you as you look at each card. I love this game and have yet to meet anyone who does not love this game after playing it. My husband and I own 8 physical copies with different maps, yet we each still purchased this PC game. WORTH IT.
A faithful adaptation of the board game. Wish there was a single player, but this is a great substitute.
Great version of the boardgame. We've played 3 times. Game crashed once -- it disconnected a player. But no big deal. Everything else went smoothly. The events are handled very nicely with fun graphics.
Very true to the Empire Builder rules
I have always enjoyed this board game and am really glad it is available on the computer. I look forward to the releases of the other maps. I would like to have the option of AI players when live players are unavailable.
A faithful adaptation of one of my favorite board games (or series). Looks and plays like the tabletop game, with an easy-to-learn (and use) interface. Discord or similar allows you to voice chat with your opponents. ALL versions/maps have the card features of the Latest editions of the EB board game series, which highlight were you can pick up every load on each demand card, as well as where the actual delivery point is. So learning the game series, or an unfamiliar map, is MUCH faster in this version of the game. (Or the Modern reprints of the tabletop version) FEATURES AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME: Eurorails, 4th edition. (Circa 2009-2025) Eurorails, 2004 (pre-chunnel) Multiplayer Autosave games - to save games from disconnects, or to allow resuming play in the future. Solo Challenge Mode - beat your best! (stat tracking) Tutorial Available New Maps are coming. Improvements to the game's assist functions are being actively worked on. Great game, and (IMO) only getting better!
I'm a Japanese Rails player who thought I would have completed my collection once I purchased British Rails, but my dream was dashed when MayfairGames closed. I've been playing Empire Builder for many years, and I particularly love Iron Dragon and Lunar Rails. I was sad when Mayfair Games disappeared, but very happy when it was resurrected as Dawin'sToy. Now, I'm thrilled that EuroRails (now known as EmpireBuilderEuro) is available on Steam. Compared to the previous EmpireBuilder Online, the information is easier to view and the graphics are beautiful. The controls haven't changed much, but I look forward to future improvements. The rules of the game are extremely simple. Simply lay rails to connect cities and transport the items listed on the demand cards to the designated cities to receive rewards. You can even use the rails laid by other rivals to save on construction costs. However, railroads can be lost, strikes can occur, economic booms can occur, and taxes can be levied. I'm also looking forward to seeing more maps and demands, items added and expanded for IronDragon, LunarRails, MartianRails, NipponRails, AustralianRails, IndiaRails, ChinaRails, RussianRails, and TraditionalEmpireBuilder. And of course, British Rails. P.S.: Do you remember when I sent an email to MayfairGames about maps and essential items for NipponRails before the release of NipponRails Second Edition? If you ever decide to remake NipponRails, I'd love to help! そして今、EuroRails(実際はEmpireBuilderEuro)がSteamでプレイできるようになったことを大変嬉しく思っています。
