Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Eco is a Cruel Mistress that snares you into playing, and then makes you regret your life choices.....but seriously, if you like MMOs and economy games, this is it.
Eco is a painful, sad game. From the first instant, it shows a total disdain for its players, a lack of trust. The game is filled with bugs and issues, but even beyond that, it's core systems are plagued with what i can only describe as an ideological death. In the total mistrust of its players, it makes mandatory systems that have no reason to be so. You must claim land, manage permissions, deal with the boring minutiae of administrative work that has no right to exist. I love administrative work. But in this world, it exists solely as a barrier for you and others to prevent bad actors, a barrier that exists as a default, because trust is assumed nonexistant from the beginning. Whether or not you want this, the game is badly designed. Building, a cornerstone of the genre, is here the most painful i have seen it, by a margin so great it is barely worth comparison. Placing blocks feels like treading through a special hell, something I never thought achievable. Moving dirt(!) is a horrible chore. In an effort for realism, they have made a game where building and breaking blocks is actively something to be avoided. Do not worry, though, the tutorial will frontload all this pain, so you know exactly what to expect. This is genuinely, in my opinion, the worst execution of the genre, to a point that begins to feel like a joke. Please, and I mean this genuinely, play any other game. For every second i had to play this game, I could only think of what fun i would have playing what often is its much better sibling, Vintage Story.
This game was great until they added the "Premium" content. Wish I could refund this now.
Your enjoyment will definitively depend on the server you join, but the potential is great
I woke up in a world! I walked around, talked to a few inhabitants and decided I set up my tent somewhere in the middle of everyone. First thing I wanted to do, is to make a simple house. I cut down some trees and took some dirt to make a nice simple house. Then it was time to decide what I wanted to specialize in! Looking at my neighbours, the thing that was missing was a good cook, so I became one. I made delicious meals and traded that with my neighbours for resources only they could produce. My house became prettier by time and by that time I had a little farm going to supply for my cooking. Some people in the world were good at gathering, so I decided to contract them to harvesy my goods for some good food in return, a benefit for both sides! Then the next step in civilization came, making a town. A bit further away from my own house I made the Town Hall, invited the surrounding people to join the town. Suddenly we had a small community with shared common goals. Making infrastructure, setting up laws and ask around what desires the town folk had, was next on my agenda. We grew big, we benefitted of each others professions and made nice infrastructure to allow faster movement and allow connecting the roads to other towns. My cooking in the meantime sky rocketed to allow big parties to manifest. People around the world came to the Dinner Parties, to celebrate the glories of the world, allowing the people to faster gain professions. After a while the world mayors came together to discuss the new coin, a shared coin would make trading much easier. Several ideas came to live and all the people around the world decided which coins they were going to use. Ideal? No, but it made for interesting decisions. After a while, my town became famous for making the dinner parties and getting good food, while other citizens supplied many raw resources to other towns. Around the globe were in the meantime many other settlements, were each had their own philosophy, set of laws and specializations. This all made the world feel alive, interesting dialogues, trade and the common goal to destroy that meteorite! Everyone in the world took good care of their pollution and environmental unfriendly products, so we didn't had to make strict laws for that. After a few weeks having a healthy active people doing their things, all the technology became available. Some people lost interest and stopped being active, while others were persistent in making all the necessary buildings to destroy the meteor. People all around the globe, all from different towns came together to make this happen. No more capitalism, just sharing all their resources, so they could destroy that meteor in time. And they did, 3 days before the meteor would hit the earth, it got destroyed by these people with a lot of stamina to just keep going!
Eco is a great game with friends, but at this point I just have to point out that it has been in 'Early Access' for 8 years.. 8 YEARS. Sorry, but thats just not a timeline I would have expected.
I loved this game, its a very specific niche thats hard to find a replacement for, but im done with it. The game depth and mechanics are worthy of its price tag, there is a lot to do and ill say there is still professions i havent fully tried still with 2k hr. BUT It feels like every updates adds yet another layer of complexity to early game and always requires more grinding for the same endgame. there is mods, you CAN enjoy something similar to an endgame with enough tweaks and mods. But what the base game offers is still a single endgame goal that need a minimum of X peoples still active to achieve it, whille its more and more tedious to reach with each updates. Its still a game i love, but im uninstalling and can't in good conscience reccomend it in its state. Its mostly stable even on my old machine, i have to lower the settings a bit, but my 10years old rig can still run it so kudos on that part ^^
