I thought it couldn't be THAT bad, but I ended up not really enjoying this very much compared to the other games. The missions, sound and overall feel of the game doesn't feel like EDF at all. The shooting doesn't feel fun, enemies are kinda spongey and everything feels the same in a bland unfun way. Online is completely dead too. Not to mention having to install the EDfix mod just to get resolution scaling to 100% instead of the default 83% as well as being able to adjust fov is bizarre.

This is the Assault Horizon of the EDF series (Ace Combat fans know the reference). I enjoy it for what it is, and there are some really good additions and changes that the mainline series should take note of, but the parts that it gets wrong... oh man. I would have felt cheated if I had paid full price for that abysmal gunfeel. How do you get shooting giant ants wrong? Especially when you already have a template you can work with? Still, even if the game is off-center, you'll have a good time. It does do plenty enough to keep you entertained, so you'd be remiss not to try it just to see a different take on the formula. EDIT: Having played some more and having finished the campaign, I'll say the game grows on you in many ways. It's still a marathon of good steps forward and awful steps backward. At least it doesn't bait you with a mothership tease like Insect Armageddon.

只能1080P玩，分辨率比1080P高就不能全屏，NPC只会对空气开枪。

It's clear that the people who made this didn't understand why people think the EDF games are fun. The game also does not have support for higher resolutions and has no settings in the main menu, You have to start the game and watch an unskippable cutscene to change your settings. Also you navigate the menu tabs with Shift and Tab.

fun and high quaitly

this game is dead as hell. get 5 or 5.1 or whatever it was. i heard 5.1 was the most active as of 2021. i personally play 5. i like it, but it's actually a dead game.
