Very good for fans of games like Dungeon Keeper and I love this game as well as it's successor Dungeons 3. As opposed to Dungeons 3 this game offers quite a bit more units, has 3 different races and each species play a bit different. One major weakness this games has (compared to Dungeons 3) is this traps are pretty useless since they are constantly being deactivated by the enemy. I would definitely recommend this game as well as it's expansion which offers the 3rd race and a good campaign.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This barely gets a thumbs up, and only because if you are looking for a Overlord kind of game, this will scratch that itch. I almost didn't get to the point where it became enjoyable though, so beware that. If you aren't too familiar with these kind of games and wanted to try one out, go with War For the Overworld or Dungeons 3. I really wish they would stop using the campaign as an extended multi-hour tutorial in these games. Unlocking little bits at a time as you play through. Dungeons 2 didn't really have any terribly creative scenarios that impressed me like many of the Overworld maps and some of the Dungeons 3 maps. They also leaned so heavily into specific parodies that it got old after a while. It was probably more enjoyable before season 8 of GoT came out. The view is claustrophobic and there was a book in one of the side maps I couldn't even target because of its position. Needed much more zoom out and a way to rotate the map everywhere. Most of the missions are just rush missions, where it gets tedious if you aren't going full Starcraft mode. The narrator complains way more than any other game like this I've played, sometimes getting annoyed when you don't immediately do something the moment he mentions it, before you can even click on it. It's the worst of this style of game I've played, but it still does enough right that I forced my way through it. The most fun this game provides is outside the campaign. I'm sure there are plenty of other points to be made for and against it, but I need to rest my brain from the forced tedium.
I wouldn't recommend this one sadly, even though it's the cool one where you can play an entire dungeon of undead instead of being forced to use all the factions like in 3. Unfortunately there is no difficulty setting for the campaign, only for skirmish, and who plays this game except to do the campaign? So having it in skirmish is useless if you never play it. Anyway this is not the kind of game I want to try over and over on nor take seriously, I just want to build up my dungeon and army and then roll over the overworld. This title is not conducive to that so I would just skip it and play 3 instead. Oh yeah, I forgot 4 exists, but nobody bought that one.
It's not Dungeon Keeper, it does not even try, but it should. A Game from 97 has better controls and direction than this. After 4 hours of game-time I am bored out of my mind.
The gameplay is good.
good game, when played in singleplayer or with a friend. online pvp is dead tho
