A pretty good Survival Horror, a bit reminiscent of the Original Resident Evils, or Organ Quarter for those familiar with that game. There is some good voice acting and interesting Horror aesthetic throughout the game. Overall the game isn't super long, about 4 hours long, but I found it fun.
very interesting story, once this game is polished, it'll be insane.
scratches the resident evil itch!
Dreadful controls on the index controllers. The menu in bound to the TOUCH of left touch pad, so any time you rest your thumb, you trigger it, and of course you cant rebind it.
as soon as i heard about this game coming out i knew id be getting it day one, was part of the meta MP playtest a little while back, which impressed me (apart from the controls being a bit jank) now on full release the jank is still there, but the atmosphere more than makes up for the it, we all know a few patches will polish this game - hopefully the devs patch up the game to the level it deserves
手游都不如的画质+超级廉价的音效。。。毫无沉浸感
Very good Game when you like Games like Resident Evil or the Movie: The Thing with Kurt Russel. Just Buy it. Ein wundervolles VR Spiel wenn dir Spiele wie Resident Evil gefallen oder der Film "Das Ding" mit Kurt Russel. Tolle Grafik, Musik und Atmosphäre. Unbedingte Kaufempfehlung für Resident Evil Fans.
I can recommend this game without hesitation to anyone who enjoys story driven VR games that clearly bring a certain level of professionalism. Overall I am really positively impressed and very satisfied with the game and I hope that other players do not miss this one. There are not many good story driven games out there. The price is more than fair. I paid 20 euros and think that is great. There was even a demo to try out which was very convincing. I think the developers did a great job in all aspects. Nothing feels cheap or indie even though I assume this was not a triple A production. But the game is close. Quick overview of what you get: There are interactive puzzles that are truly designed for VR, texts and audio recordings to read and listen to, and a horror story that blends mystery and gore. You can defend yourself with various weapons and upgrade them as well. The level design is comparable to Resident Evil 7, which I really like. That means you explore and gradually unlock small interconnected areas filled with events and collectibles. The game is set in the 1930s and everything fits together visually and feels very cohesive. Wood, metal and blood. You make good progress without feeling rushed but also without boring sections. There is backtracking for example to open a locked safe or to apply an upgrade to one of your weapons. You cannot explore every cabinet and drawer even though the environment invites you to do so, but that also means you do not get stuck in that loop of having to check everything, which can quickly become stressful for me. There were a few points of criticism that I noticed both in the demo and in the full game. Personally I can overlook them because of all the positive things the game offers. I do not think the weapon sounds and the general shooting feel are very good. But since you are not constantly fighting and more often defending yourself than attacking, I can live with that. Sometimes haptic elements like levers, switches or buttons do not work on the first try or feel a bit clunky. It is not game breaking but noticeable. Most of the interactive elements work very well to well, so it only occasionally feels unintuitive. I do think the special VR puzzles that require hand interaction are designed in such a cool way that it is not really a problem. The third issue for me as a Quest 2 user was that I had a wobbly image at the beginning and it took me about two hours to fix it. That is a pretty rough entry barrier which I only pushed through because I already knew from the demo that I liked the game. The solution was very simple. I just had to launch the game through the Steam Link app which you can download and install for free from the Quest store. The game really inspired and motivated me to keep working on my own VR mod project and I am very thankful for that. Game development is really hard work and I have a lot of respect for all developers, big and small, who take on this challenge. I am looking forward to my next session tonight.
