As it stands now, a good game. I don't think it stands very well against the first, but I also expect that much like the first, it will truly shine when the DLC arrives, as many of its current issues (lack of content, lack of difficulty) can easily be fixed by its inclusion. Unfortunately, poor storytelling and shallow NPCs cannot be fixed by DLC. Still, focus more on exploration and finding your own goals and this is a great experience in its own right.

Came back to finally beat this game after the announcement of Dark Arisen and I'm glad I did. Despite the issues with performance, and no hard mode (Please be a hard mode in DA), I can say that Dragons Dogma 2 creates the feeling of adventure and discovery better than many other games I have played. Where the story lacked the atmosphere stepped up to create a fantastic world. The combat is great, same as the first, with the new ragdoll system making some funny slapstick moments too. Hopefully with the performance updates coming more people will be able to experience this game at its best, as it truly is something special.
Game good. Recommend. Buy. Use monies.
I love this friggen game. So many people are bleh/hate it and compare to the first one. I must admit I didn't finish the first Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen yet but I still prefer this one more... might be recency bias. This is my second and a half playthrough as the first was on PS5. My pc at the time was taking a number two so I waited a while before I built a new one. Luckily they optimized this software better for PS5 back in the day but as of now it seems better for PC than it used to be. No slowdowns in town YET. Sure the story of this game is no David Lynch's Eraserhead but its fine... that isn't what I came for. I came for the awesome character creator, adventure and observation of how my online friend's pawns are built. Some randos have interesting pawns as well. The animations in this game are amazing with little details and I guess they should be since its Capcom we're talking here. I enjoy them more than Monster Hunter's animations though those might be better games all in all I haven't played enough of them yet. Every npc and character in this game's lip syncing is atrocious. Probably the worst I've seen in a while and you kind of want it to be good because many of the visuals are stunning. It's not as off putting when a game is deliberately goofy and has wonky lip sync but in this case its a bit uncalled for. But one of my favorite games is Elden Ring and they barely had lip sync so I guess I can't complain too much. The pawns can be SUPER annoying eventually so what I did is just disable all subtitles and turn the pawn voice slider way down. I didn't want it completely silent as it looks weird when their mouth is moving sometimes while all other npcs can talk just fine. I WISH the devs would make a toggleable option to have the pawns speak LESS not just make me turn their voices down all the way. They can be super annoying with their voices and the repetition of it eventually. Maybe there is a mod for that idk haven't checked for that specifically yet. Another reason this is worth me getting it on PC is the modding scene has always been interesting to me for games so that should be fun eventually. I hate the microtransactiony type of crap they pulled in the beginning of this product's release but they've since made an eternal stone so you can teleport (fast travel) for free now basically. This was adopted from the first game and rather predictable it would happen. I'm also not a fan of Denuvo but Capcom has to put this BS in their games for some reason. If you let broke boys pirate it you're going to have more fans the stats are proof guys come on! Greedy. I'm looking forward to the DLC and hopefully it will be as good as the first game because I'm pretty invested in this one. The skills, progression, levelling, monsters and being able to climb their gargantuan bodies as you stab them is all superb. Very original gameplay that only Dragon's Dogma really does at all which is kind of crazy to me. If you HATE inventory management well I have bad news for you... its pretty important in this game especially. If you enjoyed Elden Ring and Monster Hunter I would like to think you will appreciate this game warts and all.
I have loved RPGs since I was a little kid, and this series here has to be my favorite of all time. The only bad thing I could possibly say is that the game is poorly optimized. If you're willing to fiddle with graphics settings for a bit, the game is well worth it. If you're not willing two the first game in the series is just as amazing for RPG lovers.

JOGO BOM DA DESGRAÇA, só tinham que melhorar a otimização e a variedade de inimigos, mas o jogo é tão bom, se não, melhor que o primeiro.
