Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more - in a truly immersive fantasy world.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.43/day in the week to Aug 25 → 32.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

THIS GAME IS GORGEOUS. Now that that's out of the way... To keep it simple, there is basically no reason to play this over just replaying the first DD, especially with Dark Arisen. Assuming you can bypass the stability and crashing issues (I was very lucky), there just isn't much here. The first couple hours of this game are cool. Nice character creator, new world, new enemies, ooooh shiny.... but once you settle in its stops being new, so it stops being fun. Just running around killing Goblins and re-skined Saurians like you did for half of the first game, except atleast it was fun it DD:DA. Open world boss encounters are probably the best part of the game, but are pretty uncommon. The old vocations have some interesting new details but all in all feel like a downgrade. The new vocations have cool concepts that just feel like they miss the mark. The world is pretty but gets repetitive when I'm just fighting 2-3 goblins every 20 feet i travel. The story is a cool concept, but the delivery just failed over and over to actually keep me invested (Could just be me). The entire game just feels like its SO CLOSE to being amazing, but falls short in almost every regard. I dont know what Capcom lost between DD:DA and DD2, but the magic isn't there in this one. I want to keep playing so bad because I want to give it the chance to get good, but every time I log off i feel like i should have just booted up the first game instead. Play DD:DA, its a better game and well worth the money. If you already have, just play it again. Save your money and don't ruin the legacy of a phenomenal game with a mediocre-at-best sequel.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Things took a dark turn after being able to play the entire game more than once- noting the story and the lore behind it. I did not see as much of a connection to the story in the original Dragon's Dogma, but the gameplay aspects were both upgraded and downgraded. With the expansion coming (Dark Arisen II), they are returning the 6 skill slots and am looking forward to that. An upgrade to the original Dragon's Dogma, I believe- and I would still stick to that review myself, PERSONALLY. I'm looking forward to seeing more from the developers, most especially in the performance department of the game. Thank you, CAPCOM, Kento Kinoshita-san, and Hideaki Itsuno-san!
Great graphics and fun combat
Highly recommend.
The game has it's isues, seems poorly optimized and looks old. Other than that it's a good game good combat and fighting big monsters feels great. I enjoid it
It has its problems yes, but it still might be my favorite game ever! The way how every class plays is so unique and fun, The world is a big improvement from the last game, I've had some issue with performance such as some frame drops and 1 crash, not really enough to ruin it. Though I will say the npc pop in is really bad in major cities i didn't mind it to much but i know it can really ruin immersion for some people. 1 save is pretty annoying but the workarounds are easy. And while its far from its strongest aspect I'm alot more interested in its story. I'd say its a big improvement from the first, and we have dlc on the horizon! sixty nine hours (hehe) and I've yet to beat the main story and I'm still having a blast!
I've never seen a single update improve a game's performance as much as the 9/1/2026 patch did for Dragon's Dogma 2. I went from struggling to hold 30 FPS in cities to maintaining 60 FPS without a problem. That, plus the new save system, plus being able to equip 50% more abilities, plus revamped pawn AI makes this game an easy recommend. A lot of the reviews I've seen since the patch seem to be focusing on the last two years. Should the game have been in a better state when it released? Probably. But none of that matters to the game at this point. If you like an RPG with one of a kind combat and a unique party system, it's an easy recommend. (Just don't play it for the story.)
This is an amazing and weird game. A very hack n slash take on traditional D&D classes and a deep lore that expands beyond the game. The world of Dragon's Dogma exists even when you're not playing the game and it kinda connects with the first game into a never ending story shared with all the players at the same time. It's one of Capcom's most unique titles and you should give a chance to this weird tale.
