overall a 9/10. Definitely a slow burn kind of game but you get rewarded for seeing it through in my opinion. Really fun mysteries and secrets revealed. Loveable companions, unique factions, and fantastic world building. Graphics are beautiful and despite what others might think Rook is very loveable too. Very fun combat once you learn the mechanics, though the optional bosses towards the end are awful. I did feel some of the pacing was a bit off and I would've appreciated an epilogue, but the game itself was remarkable and original imo. The ending I got finished Solas' story quite beautifully. Incredible voice acting as well. Definitely going to play again. Thanks for the journey, I do hope they continue the story one day.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I LOVE DA and was so excited to play veilguard, but it was just...meh. It's a pretty game, I love the customization of rook, the combat is decently fun. But for $60 it really just isn't worth it. The characters feel somewhat bland, I just don't care about them the way previous games make you care for your companions. One of the best parts of the series are the romances, and here I was shocked to find that I didn't care enough to want to romance anyone. Also, the stylized look of the characters feels too cartoony as well, maybe it's just a jarring leap from DAI to DAV but it's hard to take them seriously especially involving adult themes. After 12 hours I really had to ask myself if I was enjoying this and I realized I wasn't. If this is your very first DA game I can see it maybe being confusing but more enjoyable. I also cannot believe that the deluxe edition is $80, there is absolutely no way a few skin upgrades would make the game worth that price.
Visually stunning: this is the first RPG I'm playing without modding. Inclusivity well done: this is the first game I've played where inclusivity doesn't feel forced or look like an afterthought. However, there are no physically crippled characters. Believable characters: there are no "pure evil" NPCs, they all have reasons we may understand. However, I would have liked a gay Alistair by my side, like I had in DAO (modded). Emmrich, Davrin, and Lucanis are ok, but I preferred Alistair's sense of humor (there are some funny comments within the game, though). However, Emmrich is super classy, and Davrin comes with a griffon. The skill tree is fine: each and every skill is meaningful. However, I could have enjoyed more spells. We don't have much choice, and we can only use three at a time. The equipment is great: its large variety allows for various play styles. The enemies are diverse enough. Combats are adequately demanding, depending on the level you select. Except for a nightmare run, you can set the level whenever you want. So I would recommend starting with an Adventurer run (if you don't play RPGs often) or Underdog (if you want a challenging first run). You can even customize your own levels of difficulty. I can't see that well, and many builds involve perfect defence, so setting combat timings allowed me to enjoy the game beyond what I normally could have. This game is for benevolent minds. If you want to be mean, please, play another game, this one doesn't allow it. You cannot be a Renegade, like in Mass Effect. It is, by far, my favorite game, and the one I've spent the most time on (besides Skyrim, maybe, if we include the time I've spent modding). So, obviously, I believe you should try it too.
Really great game! Highly recommend!
Ignore refunded, bought elsewhere. Not nearly as bad as everyone says who watched a youtube video to be told what to think about the game. Beautiful presentation, actually good story, some decent punchy combat, a bit of theorycrafting with builds and gear, and some good voice acting. On sale this is easily a recommend, just go into it without needing the rely on everyone else on the internet to tell you what to think about it.
Crashes EVERYTIME
I never finished the game. It doesn't seem like a DA game, really. Hard pass unless it's like $2.
While very different to the previous Dragon Age games, this one has its own charm. I was unsure at first (having played the previous 3) so I got it in the sale, and I’ve been enjoying it more than expected. While combat takes a bit of getting used to, it’s good fun once you get the knack, quests and locations are great to explore (and some are pretty dark and grim despite people worrying about a lack of it), and the characters, including our main character, are enjoyable and well written (and by that I mean all of them, certain topics were handled much better than I expected, despite what some have been claiming). Both gameplay and story get much stronger after the first 2-3 hours and you get out of the intro. The main disappointment, as many others have mentioned, is the lack of recognition of choices from previous games. Since I was playing on PC, I checked out NexusMods where some modders have made some attempts to address this. While this isn’t a great fix, as this should have been done for the game, modders have done great work, and the game is pretty easy to mod even for those like me who aren’t very mod-savvy, so it’s worth checking out if you have the option. The game is still good even if you don’t have the option to mod. Final thoughts: game is good fun, and while maybe not as good a concluding game to the Dragon Age saga as it could have been, still addresses all the plot points nicely leading to a satisfying conclusion. The hard work and care of the people who worked on this game is evident. I would probably not spend the full price on the game, but it’s worth checking out in the sale and definitely recommend playing.
