Dragon age origins was one of the greatest RPG's i have ever had the pleasure to play, DA2 was a decent games, Inquisition they made a game worthy of Goty and even though i personally believe that it was no where near Origins level it was still a great game with great companions and one of the best cliffhangers ever. Bioware then decided to make us wait 10 years to demonstrate how to royally butcher every great thing about dragon age like the storytelling, the companions went from being family in origins to being a chore, the writing is some high school musical shi and the joker/comedian dialogue options must have been approved by amy schumer before being placed into the final piece. Then there is the elephant in the room, they made everyone excited to have the first ever female qunari companion and everyone was hyped, from sten in origins who set the tone for the qunari while still being a bro to iron bull who is such a Chad and a great friend who you can even free him away from the Qun along with his crew like genuinely bioware were going on a W run for qunari companions only to vomit on that run with Tash, she genuinely sucks, now lemme specify that i dont care or judge a companion for their sexuality or anything lgbt related. My favourite companions were literally dorian leliana and zevran who are all gay except for dorian who was fully gay, however they reject a compelling story of identity and acceptance similar to dorian and his father to just ramming pronouns and genders down your throat and the writing for it is so ♥♥♥♥ not to mention the hypocrisy of her crying about her pronouns to then calling other companions nicknames that they hate like the lich dude. long story short shes a ♥♥♥♥ character along with the other companions who are just mid but she is genuinely the worst. the gameplay is average and your typical modern day mid tier rpg with flashy combat an unnecessary amount of puzzles and terrible writing that i have previously mentioned not to mention companions giving you advice on how to do the simplest things, the darkspawn in origins were soooo intimidating and threatning and in this game they look like the type of ♥♥♥♥ a kid would draw and call scary. One other thing is that the Armours in this game look so stupid, Heavy armor looks like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ onesie and the weird ass diamonds that poke out on certain armours look so stupid i mean i wasnt a fan of inquisition heavy armours but id take them every day of the week. This game is ♥♥♥♥ and im so concerned for Mass Effect and honestly if you are a fan of Dragon age just keep origins and make sum sort of headcannon of how the game ends and leave it at that. Reject bioware and honestly focus on studios like owlcat games who genuinely make A* RPG's and Larian who are just goated and let this studio die in its cancerous wokeness

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's just meh. Gameplay loop is the same as the latest God of war, but worse. The combat system is also meh. And I can't even point why. It's like it doesn't have any intention to kill behind it. There's also no tactic involved, you just spam your foes until they're dead. Mage attack animations are some kind of a dance instead of an actual.. you know.. attacks. The camera controls on the mouse are just atrocious. The worls is bright and colourful, as if they were trying to target 12 years old girls audience. But the weakest part are dialogs. They're just nothing burger. Characters talk about being heroes, about friendship, and they're so supportive and positive so it feels as they have just walked from a group therapy session. All and all, 5/10 game, and I'm not even a DA fan.
great storyline, graphics and adventure
amazing game, ridiculously over-hated for so many laughable reasons, we live in 2026 guys not in medieval times
Gameplay is fun everything else is wack. if it didnt have the "dragon age" name the game would be okay but it does and it ruined the end of a otherwise great series. EA's greed will always win sadly
As a very casual fan of Dragon Age, I quite enjoyed this game but would understand why hardcore fans may not. For reference I have played all of the game in the series (with my favourite being Inquisition) so I definitely understand some of the steps backwards that have people irritated. The story feels more linear and a less memorable, there is a lack of carry over consequences from the previous games (something that was always uniquely great about Dragon age) and there are some political things being pushed which were never previously mentioned in the franchise which never really bothered me but I understand why some people find it to be bit forced. I also found the open world a bit less interesting to explore than Inquisition and wish there were more side progression things like Inquisition had instead of it basically just being weapons, armour and skills. Lastly it doesn't seem like we will ever get a dlc to finish the story that was hinted at the end due to the games commercial and critical performance. On the positive side I think the game looks amazing and they have used the leap in technology from the last game very well. The character creator is also very good, the voice acting is good and the companions are all likeable in unique ways with good quests so this game excels in your interactions with them. The new locations are also very well designed visually and I also enjoyed the combat but this is as someone who absolutely hated the Origins combat. Overall I can see why people were disappointed with this game but I couldn't help but have a good time with it. I think due to it excelling with the more personal relationships in game and the more fast paced combat it probably would've found more success if they focused the story into a smaller scope like following a guild or a mercenary company instead of the usual Dragon Age save the world plot again.
Gorgeous looking but lacking the expanse DAI/origins had while also lacking quality in every other aspect. Writing for the story and conversation is very fast-paced, abrupt, random. Example with conversations: companion is frustrated and shouting then literally the next sentence is them acting like it never happened and the topic gets changed. There's a lot of conversations starting with serious topics that end with "but friendship will get us through" after ignoring literally everything wrong. Theres *major* new lore for old characters that is supposed to involve in literally everything we know of the world but its completely ruined by literally nothing becoming of it. Their big quest is just chasing a mystery npc through a mostly empty map. What dark/serious moments this game has is completely ruined with pacing and the games own writing. Imma do my best to finish the game but was sorely disappointed in the game since the beginning.
10 years. They took 10 years to develop this game and it's so bad. I can't believe EA and Bioware ruined one of the best fantasy franchises we had. Buy it only if it's 80% off or more, don't waste too much money and time on this game. The characters look like they've all been written by an angry teenager. No depth at all. One has a personality based on coffee, another is just annoying each time she talks like a Valley Girl and don't get me started on Taash. And the names...Neve because she does ice magic ? Dellamorte because he's an assassin ? Come on, even a kid would do better. The characters in DAI were so well written in comparison, you could resonate with them and their story. Here, you just want to skip the cutscenes and the cringe that comes with it. Graphics-wise, it's ugly. I don't know how they messed that up as well. It looks like the game went through a Disney filter. The lore ? Forget it, the plot is filled to the brim with incoherent BS. Your choices don't matter either. I've rarely seen that level of shalowness in the dialogues of a video game. The world is collapsing, old gods return and the blight is everywhere but your character will approach each situation with the same childish reaction. The combat system might have some redeeming qualities as it feels more dynamic, especially as a mage. Being able to select your spec right at the start is also nice. Overall, DA Veilguard is an absolute mess. One more franchise ruined by EA and their twisted view of what a video game should be like.

Mass Effect 2.
