Just a severely frustrating game of missed potential. Also incredibly poorly optimized and requires interventions just to get it to sluggishly function. I'm glad I finally got around to playing this after years of putting it off, but it's likely to be a one-time play. Going through all the tedium again does not sound appealing, and the game is additionally burdened with the reality that the only three party members who ever say anything are the first three you meet. Everyone else seems to just not say anything even in the places they're thematically meant to have opinions.
Great, and last real, title in the DA series. It veered off it's more turn based style to more of an action rpg. Honestly you can see the juxtaposition....and how Veilguard went full into action rpq. My 1st playthrough of this game was 109 hours as a mage using kb/m. I'm doing a second playthrough now as duel wield rogue using a controller. Lot's to explore, lot's to loot, lot's to like.

well, ok. i could easily be hard on this game because im HUGE a fan of origins, but for the sake of the review i am going to try to be as fair as possible for people who are considering buying this game. i guess ill start with grades? it'll work i suppose: STORY, 7/10: disconnected from the first two games, the story is fine. it has a good antagonist who you truly come to hate during the course of playing, and actually some really good comrades who are fun to hang out with (josephine, blackwall, and cassandra in my case). however, if you are coming here after playing the first two, prepare to be VERY disappointed. the rules are not same as in the other two at ALL. i won't spoil anything major but when you see
the fade
you should understand completely what im talking about. pretty decent though on its own. GAMEPLAY/COMBAT, 6/10: the gameplay here must be an acquired taste or something that you are just born enjoying, but for me it felt EXTREMELY tedious and grindy. like fighting a dragon literally consists of walking around and holding down left mouse button for twenty minutes, crafting armor and weapons requires a lot of resources that sometimes feel impossible to find in nature and when you do each piece needs large quantities of 4 resources that all come from different regions and can take hours to farm. dialogue and cutscenes are fun and immersive though i personally love the judgements the most (they are amazingly fun. you'll know when you get to the one with the goat). CHARACTERS, 7/10: i am personally pretty neutral about most of the characters design, but there are a few really amazing ones spread out throughout the game. i will say here that (minor spoiler) i can appreciate how they made a certain male character gay but they also made it difficult to get into any serious relationships with him. i cannot stress enough how sick i am of playing rpgs nowadays and having gay people around with their gayness so im just really pleased with how, if they had to make a gay character, at least its not in-your-face kind of crap like in the veilguard. i know that i probably just insulted every veilguard lover out there but hey, its true and you can't deny it! SOUNDTRACKS, 4/10: funny enough a pretty large part of my enjoyment in games is the music. i love a good soundtrack that fits the atmosphere of whatever im playing whether it be something dark and creepy, bright and happy, etc. this game had literally all of one soundtrack that i felt fit the environ. boring. ATMOSPHERE, 2/10 (for me): very bright and very happy even in the "dark and scary" parts. i like a dark atmosphere so i hated it. this is for bright and happy atmosphere lovers, and it does it very well. so i guess at the end of the day id say that this game is ok? nothing crazy for me personally, i actually only got the 100% because i played it a few years ago and i recently went back through and cleaned up my backlog of games. i wouldn't give this more than a 6/10 if it was left up to me, worth buying on sale if you don't mind the EA launcher, but meh. its not something that i can easily recommend.
This was actually the first Dragon Age game I had played. The experience was fun overall. I enjoyed the characters and the story. I honestly enjoyed this one much more than Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I'd definitely recommend you try it out.
The perfect dating simulator, but seriously all jokes aside this game is amazing. This is probably the first time in like 8years where I sat down and actually completed a game, start to finish, with no 6 month breaks in between. I normally also have a problem where I create 20 different characters and barely make it past the starting point on either of them, but because I genuienly felt invested in the characters I actually wanted to see the end I actually finished it. The choices were interesting, there weren't an overwhelming amount (which usually contributes to me wanting a billion characters) and the choices weren't the simple "good guy / bad guy" choices, they were genuiely difficult at times and I do love some morally grey choices that make you feel like you have to pick one evil or another. For the girlies: the romances are amazing and may I suggest that if you want to be swept off your feet and then have your heart ripped out of your chest go for the Solas romance :') (you have to be a female elf for this romance btw). It's a perfect alternative if you enjoyed Baldurs Gate 3 (which I still have not finished 250 hours later - see my character issues), especially the romance/ role play aspect. The combat is different, though they do offer the tactical POV if you want the turn base-esque style. The combat is pretty simplistic and I personally enjoyed it (though I do not have as high a standard as others in the gaming community when It comes to this) Honestly the main plot felt a bit lacking at times, it's hard to put my finger on it, I still overall enjoyed it and the plot twist was perfect. It may just be that it took so long in between main missions that I feel this way (all my side quests kept me busy). The game in itself is very satisfying to play and has hours of content. It took me over 70 hours to finish one campaign and it would have taken longer if I actually decided to do all the side quests (which are also really interesting), I had to give up on the side quests half way through the main story as I was getting impatient wanted to see how it ended. I haven't played the other dragon age games, though I think I must give origin a try now. I do recommend that if this is your fist dragon age game that you either watch a quick lore video or summary as it is a lot and can be confusing if you know nothing. It also helps with role playing (especially if you want to be anything thats not human or if you want to be a mage). Dareth shiral.
I finished one playthrough recently, including its 3 DLC (Descent, Jaws of Hakkon and Tresspasser). One good thing it has over the previous two (DA:O and DA2) is that it doesn't need any mod to make it playable. Then again, the reason why the first two needed so many mods, afaik, is that they haven't been updated to be compatible to current hardware and software. Sadly, that's the only good thing about DAI, It has a litany of problems: (1) Way too long. I spent over 160 hours, not counting the numerous side quests that I skipped. There might be games that I played longer (Baldur's Gate 3, I think) but DAI's side quests are boring. They are like your typical MMORPG quests but that's not what I expect when playing DAI. Also, story-wise, it doesn't make sense that the leader of an army does these micro-level quests. (2) Combat tactic instructions are non-existence. I'm so puzzled why they progressively rolled back this unique game mechanic. That's what made DA:O stands out. They could have just left it as optional feature. (3) Another feature that's gradually rolled back until it's gone is combat statistics. (4) Companions often stopped attacking enemies that have been heavily crowd-controlled e.g. frozen, panicked. (5) Sometimes companions didn't even join the fight e.g. "Cassandra: You guys got this. I'm gonna guard the door." (6) Moments of irrationality, although not as many as DA2 e.g. Cassandra suggested a course of action and when I took her advice, she disapproved it. So, out of the 3, DA:O is the best by far but it involved many mods to make it playable though.
Dragon Age: Origins was fantastic. Dragon Age 2 was pretty good. The 4 hours of story I got into playing this was so tedious I could barely get interested. What made it worse was how absolutely trash the gameplay was compared to the previous games. Don't bother.
Um dos melhores jogos de rpg ja feito, pra quem ta enjoado de skyrim e veio do the witcher, é uma otima opção
