⭐⭐⭐⭐❌ "They are rage, brutal, without mercy... But you, you will be worse. Rip and tear, until it is done!" DOOM 2016 was the only one of the modern DOOM games I didn't play fully when I was initially exposed to the franchise in the quiet period between it and DOOM: Eternal. I was aware of the plot, the enemies and the bosses, but something about it never hooked me like Eternal and The Dark Ages did. However, after playing the full game now I wonder why I ever skipped out on it because it is a very strong game. Some quick praises I want to note firstly is the weapon roster, as each weapon is primarily stripped from the original games of old with the exception of the Gauss Cannon. All of these weapons are fun to quickly switch around, and you'll find yourself hooked onto their upgrades, especially in the later levels. Speaking of, I think the level design and the weapons work greatly with one another as I can weave around corners or leap up jump points with a lock on rocket barrage or missiles. These are refined later in Eternal and The Dark ages based on personal experience. I did want to critique that some levels around the middle of the game felt too cramped for the enemies that they were throwing my way, and I could have easily cleared the arenas in a single run if it weren't for corners that felt unnecessarily tight. There's also the demon roster, which was really fun, although I felt like they introduced all of the demons a bit too early, I found all of them to be used correctly in the arenas nonetheless. Their designs are brilliantly remade from the ground up, all looking familiar but hosting a beautiful variety of differing character silhouettes, and their unique attacks allow you to cheese them out for extra damage. Again, this is refined to be even better in Eternal and The Dark Ages. The weapons and the variety of demons are another thing that work really well together as once you find a rhythm of weapon swapping with each demon it really lives you hungering for more. Which, for a series not initially built off immersion, really makes you feel like DOOMGuy in his current state of mind. Not every demon is built for the same weapon either, which encourages you to remember what demon is weak to what and always have your finger on the keypad. Finally, the story is simple, having an in-universe way of writing a reboot to DOOM by having DOOMGuy be transported to another universe with a similar demonic problem always worked really well with me. As it allows us to feel familiarized with similar concepts and plot-points but still have stakes feel new as this isn't the same world anymore. Samuel Hayden and VEGA are nice additions, even if they're relegated to voices in DOOMGuy's visor 90% of the time, but I can clearly see they were building up the reveals of The Father and Samur, The Seraphim in DOOM: Eternal with a couple lines in 2016. I want to expand upon this by also greatly complimenting Hugo Martin's ability to have storytelling feel consistent and fresh while not impacting the gameplay, having environmental storytelling around in every level also adds a lot of visual wonder the the world of the modern DOOM games. I appreciate it even more now in Eternal and The Dark Ages. I'll be replaying DOOM: Eternal and it's Ancient Gods DLCs soon, hungry for more...
I finally got around to playing DOOM, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The combat is fast, aggressive, and constantly pushes you to stay on the move instead of hiding behind cover. Every weapon feels great to use, and the game does an awesome job of making you feel stronger as you unlock new abilities. The story definitely takes a backseat, but that's clearly not the focus. It's all about the gameplay, and it delivers from start to finish. The soundtrack is incredible, the level design keeps things fresh, and every fight feels like pure chaos in the best way. It's one of those games that's just ridiculously fun to play and never gets old.
I don't write a lot of reviews, but I am torn to hear the news that almost half of the staff at id Software has been laid off. I have been playing through the DOOM games over the last couple years and I have really enjoyed my time with them, especially DOOM (2016) as it is my favourite and an easy recommendation. The recent releases in the franchise which I have experienced are incredibly polished and that can only be achieved with the a strong QA department, which has reportedly been decimated. It's said that the focus for the studio is going to be on its flagship IPs such as DOOM, and while that is at least somewhat of a relief to hear, these are outstanding developers being unfairly punished for the continued failures of the moronic suits overseeing Xbox as a whole. Take care of your product people, their talent and effort is the only thing you have that is worth a damn, they are what make you eternal, without them, you are nothing.
başyapıt fiyatına kesinlikle değer
DOOM 2016 is a fantastic game. Just some fast paced ripping and tearing with our favorite psychotic demon hating marine. I wish the online for this wasn't dead. I loved the deathmatch stuff. Still I definitely recommend the campaign to those who want a really fun and entertaining shooter campaign.
İlkokul öğrencisiydim. Belki 2.sınıf belki de 1.sınıf tam hatırlamıyorum. Bir gün amcam büyük bir sürpriz yapıp evin ilk bilgisayarını getirdi. Hatırladığım kadarıyla ilk oyunlarım FIFA 04, Ford Racing 3, GTA Vice City, Age of Empires 2 , Need For Speed ve Max Payne 2'ydi. Arka planda Refused - New Noise çalıyordu. Her pompalı tüfek atışı hissediliyor. Bir yere sinip beklediğin an cezayı kesiyor.
