Painkiller Hell & Damnation

Original Painkiller (2004) is a masterpiece. A true masterpiece of its time. And this is NOT a good reissue of this game from 2012. It has a lot of serious flaws, like: - they cut half of the levels and sell them to you separately, and there's no edition of this game that includes them, except the anthology of ALL THE POSSIBLE PARTS, including sh**ty spin-offs; - previously certain levels had certain enemies that suited the style and logic. now every level contains a mishmash of enemies from all the possible levels. extremely dumb idea that ruins the style; - problems with collision. now enemies are glued to the ground, and if they surround you (believe me, they will, because the number of enemies was significantly increased) - you're f**ked. you can't jump over; you're stuck, so take damage and die. - with half of the levels, they cut half of the original soundtrack, replacing it with something that sounds like rock but not like the Painkeller OST; - the last boss... ugh. just try it on higher difficulty; But I put a positive review, because even with all these flaws and cut content, it's 1,000,000 times better than what was s**t out last year and named "Painkiller 2025".

Some of the entries in the series where actually not bad considering old school shooting mayhem. Level design is worse and AI nerfed in this entry. Better play Overdose or the second expansion. [h1] Even for nostalgia it is bad [/h1] this is just another serious sam, in hell. I mean they really are the same, nothing interesting just run gun and get the end, no enemy A.I no skill or tactics needed. Just not worth coming back to in my opinion. Some games are, this one is not.

I love Serious Sa- I mean Painkiller. This is a pretty good remake. I haven't gotten to the DLC levels yet but the main campaign is pretty good. Who knew how fun Serious Sa- I mean Painkiller could be. Ah, Purgatory.

A great game for every player that loves Painkiller. It's like a mix of all things Painkiller. Anytime I play Painkiller I can't get enough of those eerie landscapes and level designs. Absolutely mesmerizing.
