DMT: Dynamic Music Tesseract

I've only played this once so far because certain stuff is hard for me to find, but I did get the chance a while back. I was going through my steam stuff and was like 'whoa how did I spend 5 hours in this game?' Then I remembered being sprawled out on the hardwood floor, absolutely horrifically uncomfortable, with my headset staring at the visuals for that entire time. It was the best trip I've had so far, just kind of zonked out in my own world watching cartoon stars fly by my head and falling down a cozy forested tunnel. (Imagine Made In Abyss' Abyss, but all trees?) It was lovely and whimsical and I felt like I was on some kind of fantastic adventure lmao. 10/10 would spend another 5 hours on the floor in absolute agony watching this ♥♥♥♥.

Love it. Right up my alley. Usually i'd take all sorts to replicate this effect....But now i can do both! In combination! Genius! Love it. Should be more VR 'experiences' like this. If i have any complaint it's that i wish i could pick a colour palette. Colours that i'd like to see appear. The pinks especially pop and are gorgeous but some of the greens and yellows for example can be a bit dark and aren't as fun to look at. Can be a little jarring moving between these palettes sometimes. Apparently left thumbstick will save whatever it is you're seeing and keep it coming but i've had no luck with it. Also, because going in/out of the menu changes what you're seeing, it can be hard to get a good grasp on -exactly- what each of the featured effects will do./change Shame to think there hasn't been continued updates for this one but regardless it makes a good accompaniment to my music. Great experience. I'll be back to this one frequently. Oh and also, this is certainly wishful thinking i doubt the tech is quite there yet....but vr pass through, so i can use/see my sp404mk2 in front of me, and make music while the app trips out to what i do. Short Backstory - I HATE ALMOST EVERYTHING. Seriously, Most people, Most Places, Things, You name it. I hone my curmudgeon ways. But This VR music Visualizer is the best I've ever tried & I've tried a crap ton. If I ever strike it rich, i'm sending the developer a boat load of $$. Alas, I am poor . Really cool! I loved it, especially after learning how to navigate the environment better. I also used lossless scaling to improve my FPS! Please bring more effects! Highly recommended for those who used to spend hours watching music visualizers like Geiss and MilkDrop on Winamp! Congratulations to the author.

Its not perfect but its the best VR music visualiser I've tried. When things line up its brain-changing, and if you find something you like just press down the left thumbstick or spacebar to stop it cycling and you can lose yourself in the shapes and colours.

Thought I was being honey potted by the D.E.A. but really got the VR equivalent of windows media player's audio visualizer. The best way to listen to Jamiroquai i.m.o. 10/10

As a teenager, I spent countless hours enjoying my favorite music with MilkDrop for Winamp. Now, as a VR enthusiast, my goal was to find a similar audio visualization experience that was built for VR. After researching several, I decided to try DMT, and it has absolutely scratched my itch. Choose an album in your favorite music player (e.g., Spotify), grab a comfortable chair, and enjoy. Highly recommended for those looking for this type of experience. Thank you to the developer for your efforts! :-)

A really well done and trippy VR visualizer at a reasonable price. Haven't done anything trip related while using it but it's pretty cool sober, probably just more interesting while on something. Would definitely recommend if you are into this kind of thing and have a VR headset. Without a VR headset you might as well get milkdrop instead but the VR really does add to this experience.

Giving a thumbs up, but with a couple complaints. What's here works great and does remind me a lot of being in college with Milkdrop running on my monitor, listening to some of my favorite music. That's what I was looking for! Unlike Milkdrop, however, it feels pretty limited particularly in terms of customization. Sure, there are a handful of effects that can be switched on or off ... but back in the day with Milkdrop I could spend hours just messing with all the different presets, finding my favorites and altering or disabling the ones I didn't like, and even downloading new ones to try out. DMT seems to offer none of that. Instead it's 8 or 9 buttons that you can press to disable or enable an effect. The addition of presets or plugins, as well as greater clarity and customization in the menu, would make this a lot better. None of the buttons seem to disable the bright white strobing backgrounds that sometimes happen, but maybe I just haven't been able to find the right one. Steam Workshop with a creation tool would make this an absolute gem!Still way worth the $2 or $3 that I paid for it on sale, and I'd certainly recommend at full price if visualizers are your thing.
