Please follow United Critics for quality reviews
HyperBody Review

Hyper Void
Welcome to nothing; float through the void, where you’ll see ruins, cult activities, falling spacemen, and occasional trees. With no audio and no purpose, all you have to do is float and look at the surroundings for hours on end until you reach a bit better times of color.
The Game of The Play
HyperBody is a mind-exploring, walking simulator, VR game whose purpose is to show the player the wonders and complexity of VR and, in general, the weirdness of VR. I started the game, and there was this small text telling the player how to move but using controller button names. (Not a VR controller) And there was no direction as to where to go or what the purpose was. Since the player didn’t “walk” they floated by looking in the direction they wanted to go and pressing the forward button on their VR controller. The visuals were just all gray; there was this sort of stairwell that went up and had a tree on the right side of it by the top. Then there was this wall. After entering the wall, this whole new area showed up, all still gray. It was basically just a big block, and after going through at the other end of the block, the player got out again and floated through nothing to only enter another block. The steam page shows colors and bright lights, but for how long does the player need to float in one line to get to that place? The game is free, but I don’t recommend trying it out. There is no sound, the visuals aren’t that fascinating, and it's not really a walking simulator when you can just float through everything and go anywhere. I’ve removed Visuals & Audio from this review because there is no audio and the visuals the player sees most on the Steam page.
Pros and Cons

Pros
Runs Smoothly on the VR
It’s Free Cons
Tutorial Text in Beginning
No Audio
No Directions
Slow Floating Speed
What is the Purpose of the Hands?

My final little thoughts
The game, in my opinion, isn’t worth trying out. There are plenty of other free VR games that have a purpose or directions, but this just made me confused and made me question how long it would take, floating through the void with no audio, to finally get to where there is some color and maybe a bit of audio. I do not recommend this for VR players who seek fun or a purpose in a game. Rating: 2/10 Where do I go?
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/T1pInisVm2I This is a very trippy, experimental art experience that is difficult to describe. You basically float around and just vibe with the environment as you'll see different shapes, sounds, & eventually colors (you start out with black & white worlds). While, I did enjoy the experience and recommend it, after all it is free to play. I do have some criticisms. The biggest one is that there is no smooth or snap turning available. The other big complaint is that the app / game could be better optimized. I had to lower the video settings to low in order to get 72 fps, but even then my frame rate would halve in certain locations. Overall, this is very niche. If you enjoy experimental art, I think it's one you should definitely try out and see if the experience speaks to you. 👀Hyper, Hyper! It's meant to be an experimental walking simulator that aims to introduce us to ruins, cultural themes, sensory vibes and strange narratives. All in a psychedelic environment. In my test, the electronic LSD trip was unfortunately and strangely only to be experienced in black and white, although I am a cheerful person in RL. The whole program still seems to be in a very early stage of development and I don't know if we will ever have a finished product in the glasses. The programmer himself says that it was a very early and probably his only VR project so far and that he is currently working on other things. Anyway, Hyperboy is free and if you get a bit bored after April 1st, you can happily float around in this experience and wonder about the environment and the strange noises and sounds. I'm not even sure if it's part of the game or if I actually flew through the map. Who knows... I even met two creatures, one waved at me - at least I think so. But no matter how much I waved my two tools in my hands, nothing else happened. Apart from flying around the environment, I didn't notice any other interaction despite having two different things as hands. It's free, anyone who has the time and inclination can watch it. Hence a thumbs up and because it is somehow "through". In the short review, however, there is only an informative, the program is far from finished and probably never will be. 👀Hyper, Hyper! HyperBody is a Free VR experimental VR walking simulator blending architectural ruins, cult themes, sensorial vibes, and queer narratives. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was barely understandable. There is no or minimal instructions in-game. You need to start the program by the desktop and have your keyboard in reach to change the maps. There are six maps with different themes to see. Read the manual from the store page for instructions. Mostly 3D digital art, pictures and sound, placed in virtual space. Nothing to interact with in-game. Movement mode is Flying by gaze with left joystick to provide movement direction. Chinese text with some English translation. You will be clipping through a lot of things, very little hit detection. Maybe try this free experience, only if you are into Art.
"HyperBody" is not a game, it's a garbage VR exclusive art exhibition from a failed and unsuccessful "artist". I assume the developer had to pay $100 to dump this on Steam because all the local art galleries took out restraining orders... as far as "art" goes this is terrible, and may induce nausea. Normally when art is bad, I might make a little joke about the incapable artist being an art school dropout, but here, no serious art school would ever accept someone this bad at art. Because this is not a game, I cannot recommend it as a game for gamers. Virtual art galleries, especially awful ones, are not games.
