serviceable hard as nails wave based boomer shooter. slightly roguelike based but upgrades you get are minimal. main focus is on mastering the fast paced unforgiving game-play. buy if interested.
Last update is from 2024, game isn't completed and to be honest, it isn't fun when you consider there are way better choices to choose from, games such as Ultrakill, Turbo Overkill, Roboquest, Trepang2, Maximum Action, Severed Steel, etc... Be it rogue-lite FPS such as Severed Steel or simply oldschool-like FPS such as Turbo Overkill, you've got many to play. This one I simply can't recommend it, uncompleted, it does nothing new just as it does nothing good. It's not bad either but you can find better everywhere else and game will never be completed so better give it a pass.
it looks cool and it's fun to play, but there's a jumping puzzle about 5 mins in that's unavoidable and pretty much a hard stop for me if you suck at platforming or just don't want precision jumping in your run-n-gun, then be warned
I think this game has promise, but I can't really give it a positive review in it's current state. Pros: Soundtrack. Cons: Pretty much everything else. Enemies don't exactly pop and aren't really memorable. I remember one boss because it's clearly inspired by Doom (2016) and that's really it. Movement being bad in a movement shooter is a sin. The grappling hook only works half of the time you need to use it, wall-running only functions half of the time. There's even a timed section that's fully based around the game's movement and I finally made it through after 15 tries because the wall running just wouldn't work and I would keep falling to my death. Speaking of movement, it's crazy to me that the dash isn't integrated at the beginning of the game. You get it at the very end of the current content and you don't even need to use it. At all. It's a useless upgrade (until they update the game with more content.) Certain things become very ear-rapey for no reason. Like the dev screaming in your ear to "GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN." If you're going to scream, at least have the voice for it and adjust the settings so it doesn't sound like a voice chat with major audio compression from the Xbox Live days. Especially in a game like this, where there's very little outside of the soundtrack and nothing that would give you a warning that all of a sudden, your ears would be ringing. I'll probably end up changing my review when the game goes full release and I can actually attempt to see the full vision, but as it stands, save the 9 bucks.
they're just copying ultrakill and they're not even good at it the game is actually garbage no offense
its doom returnal what do you want from me also bad reviews are mostly just people who play the game like how game journalists play doom eternal
It seems cool but this has got to be the very first game where I literally cannot play it without getting a massive headache.
Dollar Tree Ultra kill I paid a 2 dollars for it in a bundle so I am pleased as punch . hold alt fire with revolver then hit f to cancel it for bee mode. ( the sound keeps playing until you finally charge a revolver shot)
https://youtu.be/Lwyk0spM7Mg Lacking on core elements of gameplay the over scaled spawning and movement mechanics become more detractions than additive to the experience.
This game has a lot of potential. I adore the ultrakill-like gameplay formula and this game has done well in giving it a unique spin on it. The soundtrack is amazing and perfectly fits the atmosphere the game goes for. Just one problem, the balancing leaves a lot to be desired. The whole weapon loadout in the game feels so pathetically weak and slow compared to how many enemies there are and how strong and quick most of them are. IMO fix the balancing with the weapons by giving them some buffs or reduce the spawn rate of enemies.
