About
Low wage. Exhaustion. Expensive fish and chips. Welcome to the United Kingdom.
DIGGERGUN is an oppressive life sim platformer about workers, minimum pay and the environment. You’re trapped on a blustery island, forced to work at Cornwall Mining Corp where it’s shadier than the game’s monochrome palette.
To escape, you need to earn £3000 from digging precious lithium. To survive, you need to manage your time, energy and money during the rigid day-and-night cycle.
Will you make ends meet while digging for freedom or find another way out and bring down the whole bloomin’ system?
An atmospheric world with fleshed-out characters; everyone you meet has their own distinct personality and storyline.
Multiple endings: who you interact with (or don’t) will change the outcome of your story.
Unique energy system where your actions truly matter as the game tracks your gameplay and punishes/rewards you for your choices.
Life sim where wages, food, rent, and much more are based on the current cost-of-living in the United Kingdom. There's even a tax system calculated to real-world rates!
Diverse range of randomly generated mines and intricately hand-designed levels to ensure you’re always kept on your toes.

DIGGERGUN is a great platforming/life-sim game with a gorgeous minimalistic pixel aesthetic which, combined with a fantastic soundtrack, really helps put you into the shoes of a worker stuck slaving away for an oppressive mining corporation. The characters in the game are a delight to talk to and each has a great story that evolves throughout the course of the game. When you're not talking to the residents of Bal Island, you'll be in the mines wielding the game's namesake 'DIGGERGUN' which helps you break rocks in the mine as you scour for lithium. The mines feel great to explore, adding a fun puzzle-platforming element to the experience that makes you want to keep coming back to see how far you can go. I'm loving what the developer has done with this game and love how well it captures the economic climate (causing me to shake my fist many a-time at the very small pay cheque I was given) - I cannot wait to keep playing and see what the developer does next after this.

Neat game! It looks simple, but there's more to it than meets the eye. Resource and time management, many NPC's to develop relationships with, full RPG mechanics, and an emergent narrative that feels very reflective of current events. Check it out!
The first game I've seen to capture the joy of pooping on company time. Legit one of my games of the year. It takes such a simple mechanic and elevates it through a deluge of tiny friction points that have you eking out every moment of efficiency. Try as you might to beat the system, you cannot win - just when you think you've got it figured, you'll find the boiling pot ever so slightly hotter. It does run a little long, especially as you spiral inevitably into debt and sickness. But its sharp satire of worker exploitation and conservative hypocrisy is cut with some lovely moments of worker solidarity.
This is a neat platformer with a great minimalist pixel aesthetic, playing as a worker stuck in an oppressive mining job for a corporation that clearly does not care about you. Wielding a block-busting diggergun, you must carefully navigate through each mine level to defeat enemies, avoid traps, and collect precious lithium to meet your job quota in a forever struggle to get paid and survive. I’m many levels deep into the mine, in crippling debt, but at least I have a cool upgraded laser and shotgun so far!
What an utterly original, fascinating and brilliant game this is. A harsh and compelling work-sim that wears its politics proudly on its sleeve. I love that video games deal with these types of real world issues, and DIGGERGUN does it with so much heart, empathy and passion. The gameplay loop is harsh, but compelling. The minimalist art is lovely, as is the writing. The sense of community - of solidarity - that is created among the cast of characters generates a strong sense of hope and light among all the darkness of corporate greed. A beautiful, humanistic response to the Capitalist creed of profits over people.
DIGGERGUN is a solid minimalistic game with a clear vision. The mechanics are simple, but utilized well to evoke a particular sense of routine and dread. I especially like how the time limit and the mine design tug in opposite ways. Forcing you to play quickly but also carefully. The story and characters are well written, and have a good amount of subtle world building that makes the small explorable space feel part of a larger place.
Black and white, but cool platformer be like: It's a minimalist platformer where we dig our way deeper and deeper. Along the way, there will be dialogues with NPCs, gradually revealing the story. It's a chill game, but there were some challenging moments. If you like this genre, you'll like this game, give it a try.
If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a thumbsup;)
The further - The better♥️

The game has an exciting gameplay that combines elements of a shooting game and a platformer. The controls are intuitive, making the game accessible to both beginners and experienced players.
