im am extremely sad that i can't recommend this game as a received it as a gift on my birthday but i want to be honest. It's a super cool concept but it's poorly executed. after playing for three hours i'm already extremely bored of it even though i was very excited to play it. The mechanics and such are cool but it's just unbearably repetitive. Every single mission is EXACTLY the same except there are just more merchant ships and more u-boats and the bots get a little smarter or something. But that is the ONLY difference between the missions... that's it. i have honestly zero idea how this game has mostly positive reviews. The "mostly positive" tag is very deceiving. Honestly i could probably have more fun playing with toy boats in the bath.... if i owned a bath tub.... i'm going to attempt see if my brother can get a refund on the gift because it's so terrible that i actually feel sad that he lost money to this game.
Not worth $30 maybe $15. Certainly abandoned but I enjoyed the premise and learning the mechanics. As a concept art kind of game I enjoyed it, but I dont see myself putting more than 10 hours in ever.
fantastic game that captures the true tension of the fight
AI is stupid
Overwhelming, confusing, and boring. the game focuses far too much on realism and alienates most gamers just looking to sink U-Boats. I couldn't pass the first mission and subsequently demanded a refund for being lied to. This is less of a game and more of a social experiment to see how long you can last before you just want to let the U-boats sink your annoying ass allies for constantly updating you every five seconds on enemy positions. Maybe have some kind of mode where you remove all the god awful contraptions you're supposed to rely on and just let us shoot U-Boats for fun? Additionally your tutorial is the worst I've ever seen. I almost quit before it finished. Constantly being updated while trying to read walls of text is exhausting. Did anyone playtest this garbage and say "yeah, looks good, ship it out." I got my money back. Such a disappointment. I had this on my Wishlist for years.
Schönes Spiel,...
This is a great game but very intense. Subs are way harder to kill in actual combat than the tutorial would have you believe. A gentler learning curve would be nice.
