Full review on Backloggd. For short, don't buy this one on PC. Either get the Switch port, or emulate the 360/PS3 versions. The PC port is actually unacceptable. You will need to apply a bunch of fixes, which is more or less normal for a lot of older PC games and doesn't take much effort. The problem is that you will still face issues with potential crashes, softlocks, and even save file corruption after applying those fixes. I emulated the PS3 version instead, and it somehow ran just fine at 60fps (instead of the intended 30) without anything breaking. The most "severe" bug I've gotten was Quint driving his car while floating outside of his car. As for the game, it's not "so bad it's good." It's just a good ass paranormal mystery game that is inspired by Twin Peaks, but uses those influences to tell its own story. The combat sections are total garbage, but the real appeal of the game is the way it attempts to simulate the life in a little North-West US town. There are characters going about their daily schedule, they all have lots of unique moments that you'll only find if you actually stalk them and peek through their windows, and you play as one of the most lovable weirdos in video games. Well worth playing, but not on PC!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I might return to this at some point but if I do it will not be this port. Do NOT buy this port, it is a gigantic turd. Spent about an hour patching it yadda yadda, got it stable enough to play for a few hours at a time. After the end of a rather long game session where I started to notice very odd physics bugs, on the way to a save point the game bugged out, killed me randomly while driving to finish a chapter replay to save and I lost hours of progress from something I had absolutely no control over. This is a shame because the mood, music, characters, story etc is all very unique and I'd love to finish it I just do not want to sit down and drive around that awful map redoing the same garbage again while running the risk of the game randomly self destructing while I do it. Horrendous port.
This is easily the WORST PC port I have ever had the misfortune of playing. I loved the 360 version and was looking forward to enjoying the Director's Cut on Steam. Don't make the same mistake I did. Run away, for the love of god, and don't look back! It took over four hours just to make this game "playable" on one of my devices but even then the controls are an absolute nightmare even with a controller. Aiming at enemies with your guns and controlling the car are absolutely infuriating tasks in this janky broken port... and you have to do A LOT of driving. Do yourself a favor and play this game elsewhere. Don't invest in this dumpster fire.
One of the most unique and memorable games ever made... Shame it doesn't work on PC.
A terrible, borderline unplayable, port of a great game. Unless you're a big Twin Peaks fan and do not mind having to browse the guides to get over hundreds of game breaking bugs, skip it, watch a playthrough on YouTube or get a Switch version.

Możliwe, że najlepsza gra w historii. Możliwe też, że najgorsza.
im highly enjoying the game and want to play more, but man are you making it harder, installed a custom shader, plus i set the compatibility to win xp version 3 and still its choppy and janky as hell. played it for the nostalgia and i want to keep playing it for the interesting and quirky story but the game froze. all thanks to the weird ass port of an amazing game. i feel like shoving the money where the sun don't shine wont cut it with this port.
