If you have played this series you know what to expect from this game. Nothing new here, which is fine we're just here to have some mindless fun. If you've no history with this series, it's a wacky hack and slash zombie grinder. Combine random items into zany weapons and mow through countless enemies. It's thoughtless fun. However, this game gives me terrible motion sickness and I have to do short bursts because there is no option to improve the field of view to help mitigate this. This would be fine if it wasn't for the fact you can't manually save. There are only autosaves and they trigger irregularly as you move between areas. Ultimately this seems like a step back for the series, you'd be better off trying an earlier game.
This is the game that killed the franchise, up until they remade The Original Dead Rising Game. but I doubt we will see a 5th Instalment. Unless a complete different studio tries. DR3 Had alot of issues and a lot of truth in why they disliked that game. But for me, comparing this to 3, make me realise of much better DR3 Was to this one. Sure the Map was terrible in Dead Rising 3, and this map is better then its 3rd instalment. But not much about this game felt comfortable and fun to play. It felt more clunky than the others in the series and just felt like more effort went into the details of things than the actual gameplay itself. Example: one enemy will die in like 2 hits, another enemies will die in 25 hits. and sometimes they are the same enemy type. I threw 4 Molotov Cocktails at 3 enemies together and they didn't die. And when I got near of them with a crossbow, I died instantly with little more than half health bar. Does that sound fun and interesting to you. I BET IT IS NOT! Unless your a freak? ... It says I only have 2 hours play on here but I have played more. I did originally, on release, play this game on my xbox one at the time and I kinda liked it. That is why I thought I wanted to come back to it and forgot I had it on my steam. Just the standard edition but hey its still got a lot of content. Content that, after replaying some parts of it again... I really think I was living on cloud nine with this game in my memories because its nothing like I remember. Also if you are reading this and liked or "Loved" This Game. Don't know how you can love a virutal thing but ok. Its ok. We all like different things. You keep playing it. Its just not for me :( I will just go back and play the others. And leave this to die in my steam Library…
