Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 16.71/day in the week to Aug 24 → 27.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

beatin up zombios is reallly super dooper fun with da gang
If you liked the first game you'll probably love this one. Especially on sale, a must buy.
this game is an excellent charcuterie plate chock full of cheese and zombie jam spread on a cracker-jack assortment of near infinite weapon varieties. i had a great time.
I wanted to like Dead Island 2. The gore system is stunning, and slicing through zombies in Los Angeles should be a blast. But after 20 hours, I’m convinced the game actively hates its players. It’s not challenging—it’s cheap, annoying, and designed to waste your time. Let’s start with the level scaling. If a zombie is even two levels above you, your weapons turn into pool noodles. You can’t adjust the difficulty, so you’re forced to grind side missions—which are mostly “go there, fetch that, come back” slogs. But the worst part? The game punishes you for exploring. Enemies spawn out of thin air right behind you. No warning, no audio cue—just a lunging zombie that eats half your health before you can react. This happens constantly, even in cleared areas. It’s not tension; it’s trolling. And the jump scares—oh, the jump scares. Every other door you open, every loot crate you touch, triggers a zombie that was apparently hiding inside a fridge or a toilet stall. It’s not scary; it’s lazy. After the tenth time, I just sighed and mashed the dodge button, praying the game wouldn’t stutter and get me killed again. The story is a joke. Your character is a soulless chatterbox who spouts cringey one-liners while the NPCs make idiotic decisions—like the one you risk your neck to save, only to have her point a gun at you later. The missions are a tedious loop: find a fuse, open a door, find a keycard, open another door. And the rewards? Usually a weapon that’s already underleveled. I’ve played punishing games (Dark Souls included) that feel fair. This isn’t fair—it’s malicious. The random zombie spawns, the bullet-sponge enemies, the glitchy hitboxes, the fetch-quest padding… it all screams “we didn’t playtest this for fun.” Even the fast-travel system is broken half the time. If you enjoy mindless hacking and the visceral dismemberment, maybe you’ll look past these flaws. But for me, Dead Island 2 feels like a developer’s middle finger to anyone expecting a polished, respectful experience. It’s a shame—because the potential was there. Instead, I got a game that jumpscares me with mediocrity. Verdict: Play it on Game Pass, but keep your expectations in the gutter. And always—always—check behind you.
