Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 16.71/day in the week to Aug 24 → 27.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
TL;DR
Got recommended this game by my friend who is a huge zombie game fan, and I very much enjoy the gameplay of Dead Island 2. However, the story was good up until the premise just lost me. Without any spoilers, you'll know what I mean once you get deep in the story, but I already know based off the tone of the characters that it's not taking itself extremely seriously, but I love the game for what it is. Good slasher, good gun play, and zombies are very interesting overall. I give this 8 out of 10.
Pros
- Fun gameplay loop with a progression that keeps the game replayable. - Lots of collectables for those who like to collect rare weapons or lore centered stuff. - Playable characters are very fun to watch them banter. - Combat mechanics are very satisfying, especially with the abilities you can unlock. - Apex variants are as cool as Special Infected from Left 4 Dead 2. - Good controller support.
Cons
- If you are easily motion sick, the motion blur which cannot be disabled without modding, can make you very nauseas after extended play sessions. - Story in of itself is kind of bad once you get to the explanation of how the world ended. - Some of the throw-away characters are insufferable, but seems to be the main theme of game about the residents it emulates from the real world. - Aiming mechanics are a little janky on mouse and keyboard.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

hackin zombies is fun
el juego esta bueno
TL;DR: I recommend it. I highly enjoy the build crafting and the weapons you can create. I don't enjoy how Amy was very off with her dialogue (only character I played) and how Deepsilver loves to show me tutorials on how to block/dodge when I see an enemy or get hit lol Dead Island 2, something of a bring back since Dead Island Riptide and even Epidemic. It's now grittier, more disgusting and some how, even more fun to just run around killing zombies. I wasn't super interested in the story and the main character I played being Amy, she was very flip floppy with her dialogue and tone towards NPCs, makes me think she has bipolar or doesn't know what she wants, which was pretty annoying. The gameplay itself, very fun, very organic too. It's just a simple hack n slash zombie game with a pesudo deckbuilder as a RPG system. Some of the storylines for the Missing Person reports are actually interesting and sometimes a bit humourous. However, that's the only good thing I can say about the dialogue, I was sadly not super engaged with it. THE BAD Deep Silver has a weird tendancy to just tell me how to block, throw objects and what a "car battery" is whenever you pick up a throwable hazard. Which is fine, for the first two to three times. It just constantly happens EVERY time you pick something up, it takes up a sixth of your screen, but it's still very noticable. One way I found to fix it is turning off "Left HUD notifications" however, this turns off quest progress, challenge progress and notes/journals that you find in the world itself. So I just bit the bullet and went with the hand holdy tutorials. THE GOOD I really felt like my weapons mattered, I felt like my build mattered and where to aim at a zombie also mattered. It's one of the better games for a "element countering" system. Having some zombies be completely immune to a type of damage is a fun thing to play around. Having to carry two plus weapons around with different elements to counter act is a fun idea, along with the weapons themselves having intrinsic perks like "Headhunter" or "Maimer". Also, the achievements aren't that annoying to get, requiring a full 2nd playthrough (which can be completed in like 6 hours) but requiring you to at least have one other player for two of the achievements. Overall, it's good, I highly recommend it if you just want a nice character builder with fun mechanics akin to old Dead Island games. It doesn't have the chank that old Dead Island has and it has even more gore. I played it solo, but I can see groups of four having a fantastic time with it.
