Local multiplayer sets Player 2 as a LVL 1 character while Player 1 stays at whatever level you have reached. Thus, playing with a buddy on the couch is grossly mismatched. Every single fighting game ever made in the last 30 years has been local coop friendly, so I am so confused/disappointed/angry/ripped off why this game hasn't been fixed with such an obviously easy patch. Reading through the board comments, a lot of players feel the same way. Single player is a lot of fun, but just like sex, it's more fun with a partner.
игра говно (меня победил мой друг на Бэйне)
Quickly renamed "Zoners Among Us" by the community, Injustice 2 still had all the qualities of a great fighting game. It looked amazing, felt great to play, and offered a ton of content with characters from all over the DC universe, as well as a few guests. Come to think of it, this was also the last good game from NetherRealm Studios, which takes us back. From the stages to the characters, the game still looks amazing thanks to a visual style that just doesn't age. The various arenas that take you from the rooftops of Metropolis to the depths of the Batcave are beautiful, bustling with references and details that are only enhanced by the fantastic lighting. The characters themselves are something else as well. Transitionning seemlessly between their introductions and the actual fight, the fighters all look really good and their facial expressions are probably the most impressive. Whether it was the condescendance in Superman's look or the anger between two heroes who hate each other, the eyes conveyed emotions like never before. The combat animations were also the smoothest out of all the NRS titles, and the character models looked cool no matter what you made them wear. Because that's the best part ! You could play dress-up with hundreds of different gear pieces, and outfit your favorite characters with new shoulder pads, a glowing chest piece, silly-looking headgear... Some even had an effect on your stats and the way your special moves work ! The only downside to having that much loot hidden in lootboxes (lootboxes were everywhere at the time), is that that getting one specific item was a matter of chance. The Injustice series comes with a lot of cool mechanics that were refined in this one. Understanding the many ways to use your meter was crucial to beating the stronger opponents. Back or forward roll on wake-up, air escape during a combo, push block when in a bind, meter burn a special move to give it armor properties... You could even spend it on a stage transition to damage your opponent as you travelled to a brand new arena after a cool cutscene ! Each stage has its own interactables, that fighters would use differently depending on whether they were power or gadget characters. Power characters usually smashed or tossed objects at their opponent, while gadget characters would jump off of those to get away, leaving an explosive surprise behind. Those interactables were nerfed compared to the first game, so whoever is close to one doesn't control the fight anymore... No more pig spam (Vegans will be relieved) in Joker's Asylum ! The Clash system is a very interesting mechanic, much deeper than a simple combo breaker. Once your first life bar is depleted, you can use it to stop the opponent's combo and wager your super meters. Whoever bets more wins, inflicting even more damage or regaining some health instead, depending on who initiated the clash. It's strategic, and something you can play around or provoke if the match is not going your way. It's also a great opportunity to hear the fighters threaten or mock each other, with many lore references, jokes, or hilarious burns. A personal favorite ? In a clash with Batman, Green Lantern will shout "You're just a guy in a suit !", to which Batman will calmly answer "... who's winning." ...Ouch. Do you even keep fighting when words hurt so much ? Among the many characters, no two are the same. Their special traits work very differently and they all have their very own combos, so whoever is interested in playing more than a few of them will have a lot to learn, even if the game remains accessible to all. To help you train, the game provides a lot of modes designed to be played solo. Between the very interesting Story Campaign, the classic Arcade and Survival modes, the Multiverse and its Daily, Weekly and Monthly quests that reward you with plenty of loot... There's a ton to do, even if you don't plan on taking part in multiplayer matches. Another particularity of the Injustice series is the way the life bars work, because they don't refill at the end of the rounds. I haven't always been on board with it, but after watching tournaments for years, I have to admit that the system has its advantages. Taking the first life bar gives a player the initiative, which changes the way both players fight. Will you go crazy knowing that your opponent's next combo won't matter as much ? Or will you retreat, and let them get frustrated as they make mistakes trying to get rid of that last sliver of health on your first life bar ? Every health point matters ! That's why a lot of people considered the zoning to be slightly too powerful, since everything does chip damage. Most of the early patches adressed the best zoners to make them more manageable, but the final patch still left some balance issues. For example, Starfire is clearly overtuned for how easy she is to play, while other characters like Atom are carried by their powerful traits. The competitive scene was, as a result, not always the most interesting and sometimes devolved into counterpick wars with the same few characters. So it's cool to see that in the few tournaments still being held today, people pick their favorite characters instead. This proves that many were actually viable if you put in the time, revealed some unexpected top tiers like Wonder Woman or Cyborg, and makes the game a lot more fun to watch. Even if the competitive side of things hasn't always been exciting, Injustice 2 offered probably the best and most complete solo content in a fighting game in a long time. With so many characters, so many things to do and so many lootboxes to open, it was easy to spend hours just playing solo, exploring the Multiverse and learning new combos. So if I'd give the multiplayer a 7, and the solo content a 9, then... I guess the game as a whole can be an 8 ! An excellent fighting game that left its mark.

Excited for injustice 3. About time we get a new Injustice game. As for this game, it's fun and what you expect from a fighting game with super heroes in it with cool powers and references to the lore etc. Definitely much easier and less grindy to get the achievements on as compared to the first game.
I’ll admit I’m not usually a fan of superheroes, so I avoided this game for years.... but that was a big mistake. As a huge MKX fan, I was pleasantly surprised by how similar this game feels. Aside from a few differences, it almost feels like I’m playing MKX again, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I highly recommend it.
I love Harley Quinn. I love Fighting Games. Harley Quinn + Fighting Game = Love. That is all.
