肉鸽元素太简陋了,动作总共也就那几个,也不太动作,本质刷子游戏
You know, I invested quite a few hours in this thing and honestly over the years it still has not clicked. You need to play absolutely perfectly or you die in 2 hits. I Get the "souls like" part but man each run has an absolute deflation feeling and ramping up again barely feels worth it. I tried to like it, I know it is mandatory, it is well developed if that helps, but the formula is just bad. Even if you beat the game it just says great, do the same thing again 5 times, all the variety you splice in the middle does not change that the entire thing is a fixed run. It is not bad, its just not.. flawless.
You control a reanimated corpse trying to escape an island prison. It's a side-scrolling platformer. Multiple different enemies which you can attack using melee (swords, kicks and punches), you also have longer range attacks (bows, grenades, etc.) Graphics look great, nice and clear with some detailed backgrounds. Music and sound effects also compliment the game well. It really shines with player movement, that is precise and smooth, it needs to be as it's fast-paced gameplay. The controls are easy to use and easy to learn. A controller is recommended, but I'm playing perfectly fine with mouse and keyboard. A very enjoyable and difficult game, the devs have accounted for this, if you find it too difficult you can use something called assist mode to make things a little easier. A fun game to play! :D
A Christian Perspective on Dead Cells
Here's how I evaluated this game through my Christian worldview. Please consider my perspective alongside your own when deciding whether to play it if you want to, since that was the intention behind this review.
My Perspective
Dead Cells is a highly replayable game with lots of easter eggs to other games and tons of content to play around with. I personally found myself using this game more like a playground rather than a serious playthrough, or playing while I'm reflecting or anything of that sort. The game has a smooth movement system, in my opinion, and it genuinely feels satisfying to run around at full sprint, killing enemies and trying to get to the next level as fast as you can with some wonky build you came up with or got at random. The game does have dark themes such as child—or well... "dwarf"—hanging, suicide, death, extreme violence, profanity, and other topics of the sort. I can actually recommend this game even though those are true because of how the main character is portrayed inside the world. Rather than actively engaging in these dark products of a world plagued by terrible things, such as The Binding of Isaac or Grotto, you are an undead warrior that's seemingly been executed, and you're on a journey to explore this world instead of engaging in it. The fact that you can sprint around killing monsters as Santa Claus felt like a breath of fresh air, on the contrary to more serious games where the whole selling factor is making you feel like crap. It feels really nice to be this carefree dude running around, just doing whatever and exploring the dungeons for no apparent reason other than curiosity, willpower, and a longing to see just how far he can get. At least that's what I felt. This game has a nice combat system and a training ground, so if you're interested, like I am, in a game where you can try out concepts and different strategies with builds and understand the attack patterns of your enemies, Dead Cells is a really nice playground for that, among many other things such as shutting off your brain, wanting to escape from reality a little bit, needing a break where you don't want to spend too much energy, or just having a bunch of energy you don't know where to put. Those are just some of the things I found Dead Cells useful for. I would honestly encourage you to pick it up if you are seeking any of these things, which is exploring, trying different stuff, seeing how fast you can do stuff, or just in general looking for a playground, because that's what Dead Cells is to me: an opportunity. It felt so refreshing that it didn't get too personal and you weren't really forced to do anything, but rather were more of a spectator of the chaos of the world within Dead Cells instead of being the problem inside it or actively a part of it, as I mentioned earlier, which I don't really like. One of the things I really love about specific video games is the freedom to express yourself and the opportunity to invent your own playstyle and not be locked into any specific premeditated playstyle that's optimal. I didn't really go into the community much or anything, though. To be fair, I've kind of just been messing around, doing my own thing so far, and it's also nice that it's playable offline without being too restrictive, the main restriction for me really just being the fact that you can't play the Daily Challenge without internet, which makes sense. The game provides you with multiple ways to play and multiple new sets of rules you can play around with, and it also has an incremental-style progression model, so you will always be moving toward getting stronger every single run you play, giving you the impression that you're always progressing and that your time is being used on something useful, which personally helps me stick to a game a lot. So yeah! If you're looking for a rogue-like playground or maybe an alternative to other rogue-likes, I highly recommend this game.
Clarification
When I describe the player as more of a "spectator," I don't mean the game lacks dark or even evil subject matter. Those themes are undeniably present. What I mean is that the protagonist isn't portrayed as embracing or endorsing that evil. You're primarily exploring a world that has already fallen apart rather than actively participating in its corruption. From my perspective, that distinction made the game much easier to enjoy than games where the player's role is centered on committing or celebrating evil.
Conclusion
If I had to describe this game in one word, it would be flexible. If you have the creativity, curiosity, or anything that drives you to explore, improve, and perfect your own playstyle, or even your understanding of the environment, then this game is for you. But if you prefer more fixed games, like I've seen some people mention in other reviews, then this game probably isn't for you. The game does have endings and achievements, but a lot of the experience comes from what you choose to do with it rather than a single final goal, and to me, that's what's so attractive about it. But the important part is, what do you think?
Age Rating
Given the nature of the game and how it's meant to be played, I'd recommend it to a slightly older audience or to players who enjoy figuring things out for themselves. The game doesn't provide much direction, and some younger or less experienced players may mistake that for poor design. In reality, the freedom to experiment, learn through failure, and gradually improve is a core part of what makes the game so rewarding. I'd also discourage younger players from playing this game due to its, let's say, "heavier" themes, such as suicide, executions, and extreme violence. You quite literally spend the game running around killing monsters, too. While I don't think the game is trying to endorse or celebrate those things, they're still a part of the world, and I personally don't think they're appropriate for a younger audience.
