Dark City: International Intrigue Collector's Edition

Not only does the widescreen mode of this game not fill to widescreen, it obscures vital parts of the UI I didn't even know existed. If you aren't going to support the functunality it shouldn't be an option.

Fun hidden object adventure game, with plenty of twists in the a familair storyline (find and catch the evil genius of the main game and evil actress of the bonus game) to keep it interesting. In this game you visit New York, London and Paris. Nice graphics. Beautiful Hidden Object Games with some interactive objects to find. Minigames ranging from easy to medium difficulty or time-consuming. Some puzzles, you know the answer and how to solve them but the awful mechanism to manipulate the puzzle, makes it problematic to solve. Very easy to find collectables and morphs (2 of each in every game scene). And what makes a collection edition special for me, are the replay mini-puzzles and HOGs and extra card-game. All accessible under the menu-extra-button after finishing the main and bonus game. A good reason for me to keep this game installed. I finished the main+bonus game without bugs in about 5 hours.

Just like the previous installments of the series, this has very beautiful graphics, and very good HOGs (perhaps the best HOGs I've ever seen in a game). However, the game mechanics are simpler, the story lacks depth and focus, and there are several recycled elements from the previous games (music, some minigames etc). If you've played the previous Dark City games, you may skip this.

Dark City is indeed a city of intrigue! A vey enjoyable game to get lost in!
