Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room

a very good puzzle game. I recommend it. lots of puzzles to solve. the price of this game is a bit to high but in offer for like -50% alright.

[h2] Rating: 6/10 [/h2] As far as escape room games go, I've played much better. The graphics here are serviceable, although on one rotating disc puzzle in the office you could solve it just by looking at where the scruff marks on the texture were and lining them up, which made it super easy. There was way too much variance in puzzle difficulty as a whole, a couple puzzles took me several minutes to solve (like the two sliding puzzles), and others I did near instantly. The final area had two puzzles based on the alphabet, and gave a clue for the second one that confused me because I thought it went with the first. The story should've been fleshed out more by giving more information on who John and Margaret even are, or how they're related to each-other. [spoiler]Also, at the end it's revealed that our character set this up as an eternal torment for failing to save Margaret, but how do the puzzles even get reset then?[/spoiler] The game is also too short, and would've benefited from more content. It's probably worth it's low of $2.49 if you like escape room games, I got it from a Fanatical bundle along with four other escape room games for $7.00. Zero Escape for life.

It is an ok puzzle game, but I have seen better puzzle games from that company. Most puzzles are either too easy were others I still after having viewed the walkthrough do not understand the logic behind it.

MC should really get over it. You did your best. Kick back and enjoy some pizza and milk. Less than two hours for this one, because it was mostly easy. Get it on sale!

this game started strong, it's just there was only two puzzle difficulties. So easy a caveman can do it; or vaugue that you look up a walkthrough. There is one puzzle in particular that extremely annoyed me that has multiple actual answers, but only one of them is the accepted answer. A good chunk of the puzzles are basic enough that you don't need to actually know what the answer is since there is a limited number of permutations needed to solve. A few of them I actually accidentally solved without knowing the solution due to this. I ended up dropping the game because I noticed a reoccuring trait of the only puzzle style being given is the "find the pattern" style puzzles.

While I'm recommending it, I'd say you should get it on sale, and only play this if you're dying for any kind of escape room game because you've finished most of the other major ones, it's a fun way to kill like 2-3 hours. Like my review for Tested on Humans another of their games, it's not bad, it's just not exceptional. This game expects you to be fairly advanced in reverse engineering puzzles, this is not a beginner friendly escape room game. While Tested on Humans had some rough puzzle solutions it was overall good, the later puzzles in Palindrome Syndrome were just obscure enough to make me frustrated so I was a bit less happy here. Also playing this on Steam Deck isn't great. It runs fairly well but the virtual cursor stuff is kind of annoying for many puzzles.

An okay game with extremely simple and easy puzzles. You can barely call most of them puzzles tbh. Decent story, didn't expect it, but there's not that much, it's a very short game. But I did like guessing where it's going and the ending. Decent way to pass tme for a couple of hours if you like puzzle games and the concept of an escape room.
