D-Topia is a nice little puzzle game, slow paced in a world centuries after today where humans live in some probably space stations controled by AI. When I saw this, I must say I expected a much bigger scope on what would be the story with this lore and what we see (D-topia : dystopia, AI control, we see quite early that people basically have implants that "trick" their senses to see, smell and feel things that doesn't exist in reality so that they are happy) which would be a huge ground for some cyberpunk society but in the end everything is fine and the morale is just be nice to other ok ? But all in all it's a nice little puzzle game with slice of life from the future so it can be ok as it is, and I had my fun !
Fun puzzle game. Curious where the story is going
I don't usually make negative reviews, but I felt I needed with this one. I wanted to like this game, but it has a good premise with really bad implementation. They have so many possibilities, but make a story with the depth of a puddle. The puzzles are easy and, ok, they don't have to be sooo complex, but they just feel...disconnected? And somethings really didn't have to be there for how simple it is. Like this brain meeting which looks like you're teaching logic to a 10 year old. And the unskippable animations and cutscenes doesn't help either. Like, everything has one hell of a long animation that you can't skip, which makes a game that should be focused around puzzles tedious sometimes. There are times it even feels unresponsive, like the characters take too long to respond when you interact with them. Even the splash screens are unnecessarily long and unskippable. At times it feels deliberate to make the game be longer than it actually is (and it is already pretty short. all in all, the game felt like wasted potential for me.

What if The Witness, but super cozy?
This is the type of cozy game I really enjoy. The puzzles are fun and satisfying to complete without ever being frustrated. But the real reason to keep playing is the characters you get to meet. I wasn’t expecting to get so many choices and possible branching paths in this game as well. But the themes of inclusiveness and how happiness is not the same for everyone and that’s ok were presented in a way that I found endearing. If you are looking for a cozy puzzle and narrative game give this a try. Game also ran great with no bugs which is to be expected from this studio.
