Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Cultist Simulator is a game of apocalypse and yearning from Alexis Kennedy, creator of Fallen London and Sunless Sea. Play as a seeker after unholy mysteries, in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Perhaps you're looking for knowledge, or power, or beauty, or revenge. Perhaps you just want the colours beneath the skin of the world.
In this roguelike narrative card game, what you find may transform you forever. Every choice you make, from moment to moment, doesn't just advance the narrative - it also shapes it.
Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Search your dreams for sanity-twisting rituals. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

In this 20-40 hour game, you'll:
Combine cards to tell your own story in a rich, Lovecraftian world of ambition, appetite and abomination. Corrupt your friends. Consume your enemies. There is never only one history.
Found a cult, dedicated to the Red Grail, or the Witch-and-Sister, or the Forge of Days. Recruit Believers and promote them to Disciples to serve as burglars, researchers, cat's-paws. Use your disciples to keep you fed - or feed on your disciples.
Unravel arcane, unacknowledged mysteries. Translate grimoires and glean their lore. Locate and pillage the Star Shattered Fane. Penetrate the realm of the Hours, and win a place in their service. Perhaps - if you are very cunning - you may even glimpse the Mansus.
Outwit rivals, investigators and the increasingly suspicious Authorities. Your own altered Appetites may force you to act abominably, but your Cause must not be stopped.
Transcend death with a story-driven legacy system. Perhaps your inheritors will complete the Rite of the Crucible Soul. Perhaps they'll find peace in a pleasing career. Perhaps they'll bring the Dawn.

I don't know, don't think this is for me. Which is a shame, cause the style and world are fascinating. The constant time ticking annoys me (why is this not turn based, the timing only means you have to pause) and the randomness level is way way way way too high. But beyond my frankly disdain for the basic mechanics, allow me to rant about the many annoyances that i encountered along the way. Certain tasks are incredibly repetitive and there is no "repeat this please". Game can feel like whack-a-mole. You can ask a "machine" what cards go into it, but not a card what "machines" it can go into? This is just baffling to me, because getting a new card you don't know what to do with happens constantly and figuring out where it can go is not hard, just tedious. The ordering of cards is endlessly frustrating, it sort of remembers where you last had them, but also not really. Making everything a card is, I suppose, good for aesthetics, but really does a disservice to the gameplay. The tag system is sort of useful, but also really not. I'm sure if you've played this game for dozens of hours the "error" messages the game gives you will mean something to you, but to me they were simply technobabble. Similarly the hints, they are either so self evident as to be silly, or so utterly unhelpful as to be meaningless There is also little guidance, which is perhaps expected, but also left me just kinda confused? It didn't feel like anything i did accomplished anything? And despite flailing in all directions, I never really found a path forward. I never felt like I had found the lock, how was i meant to search for the key? In the end my downfall, were random events/results. Sometimes the game just decides to throw pain at you and if you're already in a somewhat precarious position, this just kills you. First two times I escaped by a lucky roll, third time I died. Poetic I suppose. I find myself with little interest to continue. I could probably survive longer, probably flail around more, but all the systems I did see glimpses of (adversary, expeditions, followers, dread/fascination) seemed very uninteresting and, above all, heavily random. No thank you.

It sounds like this game is hit or miss for people, I certainly don't fault anyone for enjoying it, it has its strong points. However, if you're on the fence about this game, I have a few reasons why I didn't enjoy it that could help to inform your choice. 1. Not Intuitive: At their best, IMO, abstract simulation games like this one should wind up feeling intuitive, as the various systems come together to feel like a real, if very simplified, simulation of the world they purport to be based on. Cultist Sim does not accomplish this feat. 2. Busy Work: One of the best aspects of simulation games is how they remove busywork. You click a button once every twenty minutes or so to send your character to work, for example. In Cultist Sim you have to send your character to work every 60s, repair their health every 3m, and find time to paint every 3m to work off their restlessness. These all seem to be unavoidable for most of the game. 3. Shallow: The world of Cultist Sim is a mile wide and an inch deep. Do not expect to be intrigued by it, or its characters, or the interactions of any mechanics. Most of the mechanics boil down to combine two of something to make a higher cost thing. And then combine two of the higher cost thing to make the highest cost thing. And some of these items are on timers that will cause the item to expire if you don't do it fast enough. I love the one sentence description of Cultist Sim. The idea of combining the simulation of an interesting world with a card/deck building game is really cool. That said, I am not a fan of this game's execution of the idea. If none of the above dissuades you, more power to you, hope you enjoy it like many others have already.
There's a lot of great stuff here but it's all weighed down by how much this game wants to waste your time. A single run in this game could take you 40 real hours, so if something unexpected happens to ruin your run 30 hours in, it would take you 30 hours to start a new game and get back to where you left off.
This is a really good game. It's also a very frustrating and tedious game It being that way is also a skill issue But getting better at the game so that you aren't annoyed is also the core gameplay loop And that's quite a questionable gameplay loop But I must stress that it's still really really good
网上有猎人盯着说说得了,现实里谁不想天天跑拍卖行、跑小众书店,学一堆外语找一堆书看。然后和人聊天派人去探险和行尸谈恋爱最后急头白脸的穿过三尖之门呢
the first frustration point i had with this game was desperately trying to figure out what was going on and how to progress literally anything, little did I know was that this kind of exploration was the only fun i was going to have with it. once you actually figure out how to win and progress after a few runs, it's kind of remarkable how tedious it gets. it's not all bad and there's some interesting moments, but it will take you literal hours of nothing to get these nuggets of intrigue. by design, cultist sim just does not respect your time, and its really unfortunate since the writing and art is pretty cool, maybe I'll give their other games a shot sometime
我说不玩挂后台当音乐播放器也是极好的有没有懂的
