About
Rise up. Fight back.
Gear up to fight your way through the ranks of an insidious cult. Their wretched minds twisted by the will of an unseen entity, you'll find just as much lead flying back as you dish out, so you'll have to run, slide, dodge, and make use of your environment to survive in this old-school-inspired shooter.
CULTIC: Chapter One includes 10 maps full of blood, grit, and of course, cultists. After completing the story, you can test your skills in the wave-based Survival Mode, also included with Chapter One.
Get a taste of Chapter Two with the Interlude story map, and then finish the fight with the Chapter Two expansion DLC!
CULTIC gives you the freedom to approach combat your way. You can run in guns blazing, running, jumping, sliding, and dodging to keep out of harms way. If you prefer a slower approach, you can lay traps, let your enemies come to you, and pick them off from the safety of cover. Maybe you prefer to weave in between your foes, leading their attacks towards each other, and turning them against one another. With a full arsenal of mid-century firearms and explosives, you'll be well equipped to slaughter everything in your path - provided you don't get slaughtered first.
Combat in CULTIC is fast and deadly. Well-placed shots can take your enemies - and yourself - out of the game quickly. Keep on the move or stick to cover, and use your arsenal wisely to stay alive as you fight your way through cult territory.
CULTIC was styled to feel like a throwback to the shooters of yore, but with the advantages of a modern engine, such as physics, lighting, and a fully 3D game world. The gameplay, audio design, and art are all stylized to create a unique experience.

8/10, good gunplay and challenging on hard difficulty. Would've been 9/10 if
the final boss wasn't an Ultrakill ripoff voiced by Gianni Matragano
let's bring down the cult!

9.5/10 rating = If you love classic boomer shooters like Blood, Doom, and Quake, buy this game. This is a must have and must play piece of a game. This game is an exceptional retro FPS that delivers everything you want: brutal combat, amazing atmosphere, memorable weapons, and a world full of secrets. Every weapon has a purpose and feels unique. The gunplay is fast, satisfying, and rewards skill. Enemies are varied, challenging, and force you to think instead of simply running forward and shooting. The level design is excellent, filled with hidden areas and rewarding exploration. The story is surprisingly intriguing, with a strong atmosphere and great twists that keep you invested. Perhaps the most impressive part is that this game was created by essentially one developer (with only limited outside support). The level of polish, attention to detail, and overall quality is genuinely remarkable considering its tiny development team. Also - the soundtrack is absolutely spectactular and literally top-notch! It runs extremely well, has great pacing, and offers a satisfying amount of content. A true modern classic of the boomer shooter genre = polished, creative, and clearly made with passion - there is even bonus content after you finish the main game and I recommend it a lot. If you miss the old days of FPS games, CULTIC is absolutely worth your time!
Купил по рекомендации RESTART. Пожалел. Чисто игрулька для всяких стримеров, потому что N часов делаешь одно и то же, а тебе донатики шлют. Только так спустя 2 часа можно получать удовольствие от этого кала собаки.
Easily a new all-timer for me. Wears its inspirations on its sleeve - and as someone who LOVES Resident Evil 4 and the DOOM/Build Engine "2.5D" aesthetic, this game is an absolute dream come true. There's an extremely high level of polish here with tons of cool little details and gameplay options, like being able to wield fallen enemies' tower shields. Extremely fun, varied level design that takes you across every spooky locale you could possibly want. I played on HARD and found it challenging but fun, there are a few frustrating enemies and combat encounters but there's a significant bit of freedom with how you can approach combat, which was MUCH appreciated... Unlike this game's closest comparison, BLOOD, the combat doesn't require speed and precision at higher difficulty levels. I loved the chance to play this a bit slower, like Resident Evil, which made it easier to explore, appreciate details, and find secrets. I got a LOT of time out of the two episodes, with most levels taking me an hour or more to fully complete in my first run. There's a ton of replayability here too, with built-in settings to fully customize your loadout at level select and even take a loadout from a saved game, which I used to do a New Game+ style run at the end of my first playthrough. I do have some minor issues: while the music overall is fantastic (I particularly loved the first level's track) I found it to be repetitive in spots. I wish the shotguns did a little more damage, even when fully-upgraded. I would also like the option to have the pocket lamp (flashlight) from the start, once you've unlocked it and/or beaten the story. If there is a way to select it in the loadout settings I haven't discovered it. And the heavy-armor SWAT guys are BS.
10/10 possibly the best shooter I've played. Awesome graphics, awesome level design, awesome atmosphere. I have no complaints. Both chapters took me around 20 hours with me exploring the levels fairly thorough, and at no point did it get stale. Huge respect to the dude who made this, this is insanely good.
Peak retro shooter. Highly reminiscent of Blood.
