SpaceChem is the kind of game that never really leaves your head — I'd close my laptop and find myself lying in bed mentally rerouting waldos instead of sleeping. The difficulty is brutal and uncompromising, but that's the point: every solution you build feels genuinely yours, a mess of spaghetti logic that somehow works, and the satisfaction of watching your reactor hum along after hours of failed attempts is unlike anything else in the genre. It's less about eureka moments and more about grinding through iteration after iteration until your contraption finally clicks, which felt frustratingly like real engineering work in the best possible way. Fair warning — if you're a programmer looking to unwind, this is basically a second job, but one you'll keep coming back to at midnight with one more idea to try. If puzzle games are your thing and you don't mind a game that will genuinely humble you, this is absolutely worth it.

I launched along with my 2 co scientistic people and we did some science and we dropped our balls at the fourth test. because it was so Sciency that we saved the galaxy. Long story short ,this game is very atom, and lines. Long story short, wow "That sounds like a gloriously chaotic co-op session. Saving the galaxy with two friends using "science," dropping the ball on the fourth test, and wrapping it all up in an "atoms and lines" aesthetic is top-tier gaming. I'm trying to pin down the exact game based on those clues. Astroneer? A very abstract session of Helldivers 2? Or maybe a hidden indie puzzle gem? Would you like to drop the title so I can stop guessing, or do you want to give me another hint?"

No matter how good you think a solution is, someone else managed to do it in half the cycles and half the symbols. 10/10 experience would histogram again

A strong puzzle game that can become a bit more like work than play. If you like that sort of depth in your puzzlers, this is a strong recommend. I think it's pretty unapproachable for the average player.

Very fun puzzle game. Very little chemistry, all things considered. Highly recommend if you like programming things and want a challenge.

Infinifactory я дропнула после The Heist, потому что не осилила. Основную кампанию SpaceChem я прошла за два месяца. Теперь я официально могу считать, что SpaceChem легче Infinfactory, несмотря на то, что по шкале сложности IF 2/5, а SC 4/5. UPD 12.07.26: Я прошла на все ачивки - теперь официально могу считать, что SpaceChem легче Infinifactory.

Don't be misled by the primitive graphics, this is excellent Zach. Great 1024x768 on Steam Deck.

Nice game but like most zachtronics games it resembles my day job too much by the end. I don't finish them.
