About
Rise up. Fight back.
Gear up to fight your way through the ranks of an insidious cult. Their wretched minds twisted by the will of an unseen entity, you'll find just as much lead flying back as you dish out, so you'll have to run, slide, dodge, and make use of your environment to survive in this old-school-inspired shooter.
CULTIC: Chapter One includes 10 maps full of blood, grit, and of course, cultists. After completing the story, you can test your skills in the wave-based Survival Mode, also included with Chapter One.
Get a taste of Chapter Two with the Interlude story map, and then finish the fight with the Chapter Two expansion DLC!
CULTIC gives you the freedom to approach combat your way. You can run in guns blazing, running, jumping, sliding, and dodging to keep out of harms way. If you prefer a slower approach, you can lay traps, let your enemies come to you, and pick them off from the safety of cover. Maybe you prefer to weave in between your foes, leading their attacks towards each other, and turning them against one another. With a full arsenal of mid-century firearms and explosives, you'll be well equipped to slaughter everything in your path - provided you don't get slaughtered first.
Combat in CULTIC is fast and deadly. Well-placed shots can take your enemies - and yourself - out of the game quickly. Keep on the move or stick to cover, and use your arsenal wisely to stay alive as you fight your way through cult territory.
CULTIC was styled to feel like a throwback to the shooters of yore, but with the advantages of a modern engine, such as physics, lighting, and a fully 3D game world. The gameplay, audio design, and art are all stylized to create a unique experience.

This game is a masterpiece, I personally LOVE the music above all else, the weapons all feel amazing and the style(though it took me time to get used to) is absolutely lovely. This game makes me wish there was more media that involves ex-detectives taking down insane cults, get this game as soon as you can!
What is there to say that others haven't already. This game is a dream to play from start to finish. I bought it due to the reviews and was needing something to play in my free time. It kept me in a chokehold the whole way through. As soon as I finished chapter one I was bummed because I thought there was nothing left to play. Then I noticed chapter two was out. I bought it and played it through completely. This game is by far one of the best games I have played in a long time. This game is a masterclass in why indie games will always surpass AAA these days. This game has so much style, flare, and just kickass gameplay. This game is a must buy along with chapter two. The gunplay is beyond satisfying, the secrets are super fun to find the horror, enemy design, and level design are amazing. Buy the game it is worth more than it is. This is a $60-80 game with a $20 price tag. From start to finish of both chapters my game time is 27 hours. SO WORTH IT! Incredible job to the devs. Well done.
I enjoyed CULTIC greatly. I was looking for something that would scratch the Blood West itch, a kind of shooter with some RPG mechanics and open exploration, with a retro vibe. CULTIC has way better combat, but it's not a pure boomer shooter, you can take almost any fight at your own pace, guns blazing amidst spastic movement, or much slower, methodical, cover shooter. I liked being able to choose how I could approach most fights. The game has great level design and varied levels, and between 10/15 hours of content depending how fast and thorough you are. The visuals are also incredible and so is the music in several levels. But a few negatives come to mind. The game has barely any story. Unlike Blood West, there also aren't any friendly NPCs, nor side quests, so the world feels very empty. Anything that moves is an enemy. I missed meeting with some characters in this game, or doing anything outside just killing everything or pixel hunting secrets, which realistically, are the only two activities you'll be doing (pleasantly) in this game.
保留了blood的精髓又改正了许多弊端,再加上极佳的打击感,感觉这才是blood的现代完全体。
WOW
Absolute beast of a boomer shooter. I love all the modern shooter aspects included in the game, along with all the small details (like the terminator 2 one handed reload/cocking of the lever rifle, and the cluster throw of the dynamite - to name but a few), the weapons and modifications, secrets and easter eggs all of which make for a fun and solid shooter. The atmosphere is incredible and there were a few instances where I've had goosebumps and almost jumped out of my skin. Some of the maps and world areas are beautiful, really feeling lived in at some points and the sky boxes are incredible. Story elements are drip fed to the player through notes and visual cues, leaving a lot to the imagination, but never lacking (imo). This game, I think, can be enjoyed if you want a quick blast on something to wind down, and if you want something you can sink your teeth into and play for an extended period of time. Overall, I would highly recommend this game for FPS and boomer shooter lovers alike, and definitely those who have played Blood and RE4. 10 out of 10 from me.
Of all the throwback boomer shooters, I think this is the most finely crafted one - made by just a single guy. I had so much fun with every single level and the "part 2" DLC is pretty much a sequals worth of extra levels, all of which just as good if not better than part one. The boomer shooter genre is often just replications of what came before, and Cultic obviously wears many of its influences on its sleeves, but it takes those influences and does something fun and "it's own"
I would recommend this game, it isn't perfect, it has some Balance issues, the weapons are unsatisfying to use and the combat encounters can be fairly awful given that a lot of guns that seem like they should completely stomp on enemies, just don't. There is also enemies who are tedious and come off as spongey, luckily in chapter one encounters with them are rare (Though some are a bit eyerolly.) There is also some rather annoying enemy placement, especially when sniping comes into play but when the combat works, it WORKS really well despite all its flaws, It has some major highs that make up for its lows. The bosses are a bit too easy, except the tank boss in the prelude.
hehe cultist head go boom
With the exception of one level this game is perfect.
