Death is only the beginning. Crawl from your grave and gear up to fight your way through the ranks of a mysterious and twisted cult. You, your guns, and your dynamite will have to shoot, slide, blast, duck, dodge, and maybe throw a gib or two to survive in this old-school-inspired shooter.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 15 → 9.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rise up. Fight back.
Gear up to fight your way through the ranks of an insidious cult. Their wretched minds twisted by the will of an unseen entity, you'll find just as much lead flying back as you dish out, so you'll have to run, slide, dodge, and make use of your environment to survive in this old-school-inspired shooter.
CULTIC: Chapter One includes 10 maps full of blood, grit, and of course, cultists. After completing the story, you can test your skills in the wave-based Survival Mode, also included with Chapter One.
Get a taste of Chapter Two with the Interlude story map, and then finish the fight with the Chapter Two expansion DLC!
CULTIC gives you the freedom to approach combat your way. You can run in guns blazing, running, jumping, sliding, and dodging to keep out of harms way. If you prefer a slower approach, you can lay traps, let your enemies come to you, and pick them off from the safety of cover. Maybe you prefer to weave in between your foes, leading their attacks towards each other, and turning them against one another. With a full arsenal of mid-century firearms and explosives, you'll be well equipped to slaughter everything in your path - provided you don't get slaughtered first.
Combat in CULTIC is fast and deadly. Well-placed shots can take your enemies - and yourself - out of the game quickly. Keep on the move or stick to cover, and use your arsenal wisely to stay alive as you fight your way through cult territory.
CULTIC was styled to feel like a throwback to the shooters of yore, but with the advantages of a modern engine, such as physics, lighting, and a fully 3D game world. The gameplay, audio design, and art are all stylized to create a unique experience.

This is an incredible game. Probably on the Mount Rushmore of boomer shooters. I'll review chapter 2 separately since it's a separate purchase/page, so this is just Chapter 1 and the Interlude. Cultic is at times fast-paced and brutal, at times slow and spooky, but at all times incredibly fun. It's clearly been designed by someone that loves this genre, and the touches they've put into the game show they might just love the player too. A lot of other games, for some reason or other, end up feeling like the point is for the player to suffer, but this one never felt like that. You're always given tools... Your weapons are all surprisingly accurate, headshot damage makes a huge difference, enemies can be stunned out of attacks, there are TONS of easily-readable audio and visual clues as to what's going on, accuracy and careful play are rewarded, and if all else fails, a TNT/Molotov combo will take down just about anything in a single hit (including yourself - be careful). Some tips for newcomers, though: Crouching makes you harder to hit, your hatchet is INCREDIBLY useful, upgrade parts are scarce, sliding gets you out of trouble real quick, you have a quick-throw-TNT button - USE IT, picking enemies off with hit-and-run mechanics will save your hide, and I seriously cannot overstate how strong the TNT/Molotov combo is. Quicksave often, and experiment even oftener. Weapons have alternate, tertiary, and quaternary uses sometimes. The levels are expertly designed, every single weapon is useful (the Interlude chapter adds a few more too which are great), each enemy encounter feels organic, and sniping enemies with an upgraded pistol never gets old. A new player who takes their time is likely to get 7-8 hours of gameplay out of Chapter 1, the Interlude, and extras, and it's a solidly enjoyable 8 hours in my opinion. This is a game I will absolutely be coming back to for years to come, and I could not recommend it more for my fellow boomer-shooter fans. Also spoiler alert, Chapter 2 is bigger and better.
Absolute peak gaming.
This game is genuinely amazing. I had the time of my life playing it. The only time I started losing my mind was while navigating The Fairgrounds, because I was determined to find every single secret and refused to leave until I did. But then came the train map. MAJOR CHAPTER 2 SPOILER BELOW, seriously, do not uncover this if you haven't played it yet.
The plot twist when Josh Interlude suddenly shows up and saves John Cultic was genuinely one of the greatest gaming moments in history. I will never forget the emotions I felt during that scene. The cultural significance of this moment is impossible to overstate. Thank God Josh Interlude survived.
Thank you, CULTIC, for this experience. I would love a Chapter 3, but honestly, I don't think it would make much sense. The story already reached its perfect conclusion in Chapter 2. 10/10. Thank you, John Cultic.
Very charming and well designed classic FPS with some amazing levels, weapons and encounters. Just a really great time.
Amazing gameplay, beautiful soundtrack, fantastic level design, and a very atmospheric art style. Definitely one of the best throwback shooters. Second chapter is substantially weaker than the first but it's still pretty fun.
The gun play is amazing, the gore and dismemberment is awesome and I love the pixel art. One of the best modern boomer shooters of all-time!!
I'm not sure what the negative reviews for this game are going on about. The whole "dont feel bad about looking up a guide" is true for the secrets because they are hard to find, but the actual campaign is easy to follow using your map and context clues. I thoroughly enjoyed Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 excited for whatever comes next. Someone mentioned the revolver being useless i agree with that, maybe instead of having identical weapons ammo types new types should have been made besides that it was very fun. Horror and gunplay kept me hooked was very tense at times. Maybe more enemy types too.
So good. If you like "boomer shooters", stop reading and just buy it. It's legit amazing that a solo developer can make a game of this caliber. Seriously impressive skillsets. Well done Jasozz Games. I'm late to the party on this one and feel guilty for not playing it earlier.
