About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

I haven't really played much horror games, so this one scared the hell out of me during the first half. But even after getting past that, the game was super engaging and interesting. Absolutely would recommend. The world building, atmosphere and story are some of the best from this decade in my opinion. The combat was also very satisfying and progression felt good.
Paying attention pays off! A very enjoyable but slow game, which means it won't be for everybody. It really opens up when approached with patience and mindfulness, resources are scarce and you are easily killed, however the game is not as hard as it might appear if you play it smart and be patient. Listen and pay attention to your surroundings, don't rush into it. Same can be said for the story, the story is decent but subtle in some ways - a significant chunk of it is in journals/recordings you find as you explore. The game is also very atmospheric, there's something unique to the feeling of the heavy footsteps as you slowly trudge along the dusty ruins of a world long gone. The heavy and unsettling look of the protagonist does a lot of heavy lifting for setting the atmosphere.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gründlich gucken wird also belohnt.
7.5/10 - Dead Space... with cats! The Good +Great retrofuturism vibes +Pretty interesting story +Collectibles/memos/logs are satisfying to find +Good sound design +Guns feel good with solid variety +You can pet cats! The Not So Good -Largely bland/repetitive enemies -Some chapters can feel repetitive and suffer from pacing issues -Protagonist is a bit forgettable, though solid (think a less interesting Selene from Returnal) Still scratches the Dead Space and RE4 itch, but could've been so much more.
KITTY!!!
To Pet the Cat such is our Calling. And anyone who says otherwise will be deemed defective and will be terminated voluntarily or by compulsory volunteering. Now I'll not spoil the game there is too much to speculate but all I'll say is that fragments of the story seep from every writing, essence and piece that is shown to you and to think I almost refunded the game because of a scalding review made by a trusted friend. I'm glad I've good friends who stopped me with whom I could play through all three endings (Yes including the true ending.) Now pre-DLC i've the game completed 100% and I definitely recommend at least 2 play throughs and I'll advise some save-scumming and looking up "missable" achi guides if you don't have infinite time to replay the same game over and over again in order to get 100% Achi. That is in my opinion the biggest flaw of this game, you've to replay basically same game at least twice to get 100% Achis and frankly put not too hot on it. Beyond that I loved the concept I loved the world the mystery etc. And beyond the mandatory multiple play throughs only other issue I can say is that final boss is some grade A level of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared to every other boss. Think hardest boss but then amped up to like 3x - 10x and on my NG+ True Ending run I had a good run where I somehow hit a bug and got stuck in a Square on final stage and just got nuked because I couldn't move out of the way. But beyond the few design flaws I do recommend the game if only for the story itself and I'm looking forward to seeing what the announced DLC will bring, I hope it will give us more insight into what's happening, the state of the world etc. It would really suck if it was "You wild on theory crafting kid? Well here is an extra!" every story needs an end and I think Cronos needs its final end which hopefully will come from DLC. One issue I had on the "Pre-Final Boss" I'm obv. avoiding spoilers, on 4K even my 4090 was starting to dip out on FPS so there are at least 2 cases I saw in the late game where FPS seems to take a ♥♥♥♥ to sub 30 on powerful hardware but still enough to be able to beat it. But all in all do recommend the game if you liked other games by this developer and remember PET THE CAT SUCH IS OUR CALLING.
Having to dump 30% of your ammo as headshots into enemies is not "difficulty" it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Plain and simple. The combat is atrocious.
