About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Cronos: The New Dawn Review – Great Atmosphere, A Bit Repetitive As a big fan of sci-fi and cosmic horror, I really enjoyed Cronos: The New Dawn. It is a great mix of Lovecraftian atmosphere, Chernobyl-like disasters, and post-apocalyptic settings. Here is a quick breakdown of the pros and cons (in my opinion). THE GOOD: Great Atmosphere: The graphics are beautiful and perfectly show a ruined, creepy world. Balanced Pacing: The combat is satisfying and well-paced. Instead of relying on cheap jump scares, the game uses them sparingly but effectively, forcing you to stay alert and tense while exploring. Simple Weapons: The weapon selection is simple but effective. There is enough variety to fit your playstyle without being overwhelming. Good Length & Exploration: The game doesn't feel rushed. It rewards you for exploring, reading notes, and listening to audio logs. Interesting Story: The story is woven in a way that lets you piece the puzzle together and draw your own conclusions, even though the main plot line does satisfyingly unravel by the end. THE BAD: Confusing Moments: While the story flows well for the most part, it occasionally takes sharp turns that might make you second-guess yourself and wonder if you missed something crucial. Unoriginal Enemies: The game takes heavy inspiration from games like Resident Evil, Dead Space, and Silent Hill. Sometimes it feels like a direct copy. For instance, enemies overgrown with black veins feel a bit too familiar. Gun Reload: I get it, when you get out of bullets you need to reload, but it is very frustrating in a game to have to do this manually. When you run out of bullets, make te reload be automatic when you click to shoot, you still have to reload :P Repetitive Bosses: Some bosses are recycled multiple times with the exact same mechanics. It gets boring after the second or third time. It would be better to have fewer bosses that are completely unique—especially since the game has one amazing boss fight close to the end (no spoilers). Low Replay Value: Having multiple endings is a nice touch on paper. However, in the age of YouTube, I don't see much incentive to replay the entire game just to see a slightly different conclusion, especially when the endings don't diverge that drastically. FINAL VERDICT: Overall, the developers did a fantastic job delivering a deeply atmospheric action-horror experience. Despite a few frustrating moments, I am incredibly glad I saw this journey through to the end. In a way, those frustrating elements are just part of the survival horror charm.
Absolutely unexpected jewel. If you are into S-Fi Horror, you will like this game. The graphics, animations, voice acting, music, sound design, and above all, the story are outstanding. This game is not what you come for, its better. I recommend playing it in DirectX 12 because the lighting completely transforms the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the optimization is poor, so it will demand a powerful PC. DirectX 11 is acceptable, but it changes completely the vibes of the game. That is the only thing they should improve. Masterpiece of a game.
Muy Bueno
Great atmosphere, engaging combat, runs well.
Silent Hill 2 Remake turned me around on Bloober team, and Cronos cemented them as one of my favorite modern horror developers. Cronos doesnt shy away from the obvious Dead Space inspirations, it embraces them, and fuses them together with a neo-apocalyptic time travel story that I found deeply engaging. Not only that, but it's downright scary. Like Dead Space, it uses excellent ambient audio to make every slow crawl down a long hallway tense, corpses litter the areas you walk, and youre always on edge that they won't be lying down when you return. The combat is tight, and punchy, a much heavier emphasis on ammo conservation than it's spiritual predecessor, but with an arsenal of weapons that are as violent as these ones, every shot feels like it counts. I also loved that your time travel powers weren't only narrative, blowing up an explosive barrel, and then pulling one out of a seperate timeline into your reality to do it again, peak gameplay. If the news of no further Dead Space content put you down, then please give Cronos a shot, it scratches the itch, and adds enough new flavor on top to keep it fresh, with a dark, tangled narrative that'll keep you invested in the long run. The Traveler also quickly became my favorite modern survival horror protagonist, she does not ♥♥♥♥ around.
Great horror sci-fi game
Excelente jogo! Me surpreendeu muito. Mais empresas deveriam entrar nessa onda de survival horror. Cada ano que passa se mostra um gênero com muito potencial, até mesmo para empresas menores.
My favorite game of the year, beautiful crisp survival horror- fun / challenging combat and CATS! :D
Polish classic :)
VALE A PENA!
