About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

if you like horror game in the vain of Deadspace with a dash of WTF is going on of a Kogima game, this is for you, performance can be abit choppy but frame gen sorted that out, combat is fun but does get stale as enemy variation is abit limited, but all in all is a good game such is our calling
Just finished, loved it, one of my favorite survival horror games in recent memory, I was so absorbed by the world-building and atmosphere, environment design, the cool tech, the monsters, all of it. I really really loved the main character, especially in the first half of the game, her general attitude and way of speaking/reacting to things, everything the Traveler does has this heavy weight to it, voice actress was really good, she hits the sweet spot of being serious and all-business without being an annoying know-it-all robot. Loved the music. Weapons were really cool and fun to upgrade and experiment with. This game is a gem and anyone who loves survival horror should play it. Endings were weird and not very satisfying. Also f the bolt cutters XD
I'm in the end game. The story is a bit tough to follow for me. I understand the individual aspects of it...but I have more questions than answers...maybe that's by design. Maybe another playthrough will help clarify things; But as of right now I'm still waiting to understand wtf is going on lolol. The Gameplay: This is the game. Combat eats good. Or however they say it. Gunplay is very tight. The guns are all solid but the Pistol and the Javelin (Carbine) are my favs. Shotgun is awesome after you get the damage +3 Upgrade firepower and stability early on for guns. The Melee upgrade Essence is one to keep. Stun/stagger and melee saves ammo. Some enemies can be taken down completely using proper melee timing...with the upgrade. Inventory management is real and if that's not your thing then beware. You start with 6 slots. You can upgrade your inventory space but it's expensive and you will need other things. Prioritize it carefully. You will back track...a lot. Save constantly-every chance you get...do it before that "quick thing". The gameplay has me wanting more...It has a much different feel than Dead Space. It's...slower...you feel heavier...you can't run as fast. I dig this about it. It feels more about survival as opposed to the action feel of DS. I have played most of the " more like this" suggestions and this has it's very own unique feel and feel. I wish there were actually games like it. I will buy the DLC. I will buy the sequel-if they don't make it a musical or something. My only major gripe: I could not get my Steam Cloud on Legion Go S with Steam OS to sync. I played for some time on my LeGo and ultimately lost that work as my PC is my main rig to play this game. That said My Z1 Extreme 32GB Legion did get 40-60fps from this game at 1200p (native) Very Low Graphics, FSR Quality. Locked to 60 it would hit higher if left unlocked. It will not hit 30 fps if you bump graphics up to Low. I averaged 24. Wild. Anyways, better than Switch 2 and not recommended if you can play any other way...but solid.
Such a great game. It plays like the Resi remakes and borrows some audio-visual aspects from Dead Space. However, the setting is absolutely original (loving the retro-futuristic take on 1980s Polish history) with the story being surprisingly complex. Only problem I had is that Cronos overstays its welcome towards the end, simply because the gameplay mechanics and enemy types become kinda repetitive over a span of 20+ hours. But the hospital level alone is peak survival horror. Don't miss out on this if you are a fan of the genre! The massive analogue synthwave soundtrack is also top notch.
Great game if you like cats
ACHTUNG!!! VORSICHT!!!
Resident Evil and remnant 2 Vibes! i like it!!
Шедевр для любителей хоррора.
Great story and premise. Love it when an original horror game sticks the landing. Also great for Lovecraftian/cosmic horror fans
