About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Let's just say I don't like a lot of games and was on the fence with Cronos. This game leans heavily on Dead Space mechanics, and includes elements from Infinity Blade, Death Stranding, Stranger Things--if that makes sense. So if you like any of these, you'll love this game. To me, Cronos is quite simply a masterpiece in terms of gameplay, story-telling, visualizations, and more. I play this on very low settings and limit it to 60fps (GPU: 1650 Super), 3440x1440, and the game runs beautifully. In my top 5 games of all-time and I've played for decades. Now after finishing it, and piecing it all together, I wish I could wipe my mind and play it all over again. From beginning to end, especially the end, I couldn't stop playing this one. Already on my second play-through.
Amazing game, Great IP
Very great game in an era where games that combine both the horror aspect meet a very engaging atmosphere. It's also a very unique game in the sense that it takes place in Poland which isn't a very common setting in games. Pros: -Great atmosphere and setting -Gunplay is tight and engaging -Good difficulty for people who like it easy or more tough -Sound design is great -Graphics are stunning, but do not use Ray Tracing as it barely looks better and the performance hit is huge. Cons: -Certain items are required to traverse areas and instead of a system where it regenerates over time you have to back track a lot which is tedious. -Items are random and ammo can be pretty scarce early on. It isn't a problem later on when you unlock more weapons and upgrades, but the early game is tough. Overall I give it a 9/10. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Dead Space and Resident Evil! Looking forward to the future DLC as well! SUCH IS OUR CALLING.
Combat was great. From the feeling of the weapons, to the enemy design, to the resource allocation, it all felt amazing. Story was a bit on the lighter side for my taste, but the premise was still very interesting and the character development was great. Definitely recommend and looking forward to the DLC.
6/10 Cronos aims for Dead Space, but doesn't quite reach those heights. The enemy design is a little run-of-the-mill, and variety is lacking. Some of the enemies and level design are also frustrating where they will hide enemies that are fixed to walls so as soon as you come around a corner, they jump you into a quick time event. The difficulty is tuned just slightly too high with resources being more scarce in the first half of the game than they should be. Movement is slow and sluggish, and I found myself getting stuck on the environment numerous times and needing to reload. The game is extremely atmospheric and the overall combat is okay. The story teeters the line between interesting and convoluted - especially towards the end. It's a decent game if you are looking for a third-person survival horror and have already played some of the other bigger names. But I would recommend waiting until you see it for $20-$30.
the story is interesting so far also play on normal its more fun
