COTTON REBOOT!

Extremely fun shmup with an EXTREMELY cute protagonist, the arrange mode is a blast with tons of scoring potential and the X6800 mode is very faithful to the original. There's also other characters you can choose from once you beat the game as Cotton. The only negative thing I'll say about the game is that the visual clarity can be nuts a lot, other than that it's a fantastic revival of Cotton's series. If you remembered and enjoyed Cotton on the TG-16 or Saturn, this is a definite pick up. A legendary cute-em-up shooter series. The PC port is sufficient as the graphics are clean and the game play is tight.

【手軽に遊べるレトロシューティング】 リメイク版のアレンジモードが遊びやすい。 操作感もいいので初心者でも大丈夫だろう。 稼ぎ要素もあるので、スコアを狙うと面白い。 ただし、エフェクトが派手なぶん、 慣れないと敵弾が非常に見えづらいという欠点も。 コンティニューしまくってもいいので、 とりあえず１周クリアすれば自機が３種類解放される。 メニューの一番下にマニュアルがあるのは親切だ。 ちょっとした暇つぶしにはちょうどいいゲームだと思う。

This is the best Cotton game available on Steam until the sequel, Cotton Reboot High Tension, gets released. It easily surpasses the Cotton Rock'n Roll arcade port and is far better than the rail shooter provided by Rainbow Cotton. It's really fun to play, difficulty is well dosed and the mechanics for scoring and managing magic crystals are second to none - all available on the Arrange mode. The game is a revamp of the original X68000 reimagination of the first arcade game, which is also included in the package. It's nice to be able to play it, but it's very limited and not as polished as the arrange mode. The game also includes a Caravan mode, with 2 and 5 minutes options. It's fast paced and explores well the game scoring mechanics. The production value is impressive, with 720p 2D visuals, fully voice acted retro cinematics and music that goes along really well - both in arranged new versions and the original X68000 score. The game also features unlockable characters and sound tracks styles for the arrange mode, making a well rounded package in terms of content. It's a very fun game to play, with balanced difficulty, and a joy to look at.

すごい爽快で楽しいシューティング！ゲームパッド F310(XBoxモード) でプレイ。 ３０分くらいでアレンジモードをクリアすると、新キャラを使えるようになりました。 （キャラはオプションメニューで変えられます） 短時間でさくっと楽しめるファンタジーシューティングゲームとして良作です。 （他に昔のモードや２分・５分限定なども選べます） ちょっと音が全体的に大きいので、設定のSOUNDのページをRB、LBで選んで、音量３つを１００から５０にしてやるとちょうどよかったです。 チュートリアルも、丁寧にかかれていて、紙芝居をみるように、セリフをききながら操作方法やクリスタルにとりあえずぶつければいいことなどが学べます。 ストーリーもコミカルだし、雰囲気は中世ファンタジーな感じで、魔法もバシバシだせる やられたときのしゃべりも笑える 難点を言えば、次に使う魔法がどれかがわかりづらいから、効果や範囲が予想とはずれることもあること。 でも、ボスのHPをごりごり減らせるので、魔法たまったらとりあえず撃ちまくればいいかも。 ほんと雰囲気がいいゲーム 短時間でさくっと、気が向いた時にプレイするのにおすすめ STG下手でも楽しめました。 難しさを求める人は、ノーコンティニューを目指すと良いと思います。

Cotton reboot es un remake del Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams lanzado en el año 1991 originalmente para salones recreativos. Y posteriormente obtuvo una versión para la computadora Sharp X68000, de la cual tomaron esa versión para crear este remake, con un apartado pixel art bastante increíble, una banda sonora totalmente mejorada, voice acting en las cinemáticas, que por cierto están re dibujadas, y con 4 personajes: 1 inicial y 3 desbloqueables al completar el modo arrange, más variedad de enemigos y poderes, teniendo 3 modos de dificultad: Fácil, normal y difícil, podremos configurar los botones y elegir que tipo de música escuchar en el gameplay, ya sea la original o la nueva. En este juego podemos elegir cuál de las 2 versiones puedes jugar, ya sea el remake o el port de la versión de Sharp que es bastante fiel a la original e incluye ademas una dificultad extra llamada "Beep Edition"y que además reemplaza los pitidos de las cinemáticas por las mismas voces que tiene la versión remake. A comparación del juego original que se borraban los records al reiniciar el arcade/computadora, aquí si se guarda tu record y puedes ver la clasificación global online de cada modo de juego con sus diferentes dificultades. También un incluye un time attack de 2 y 5 minutos para ver qué tan alto puntaje podemos conseguir y verse reflejado en el ranking mundial. Un punto muy positivo es que el juego tiene Continues infinitos para no estropear la experiencia con un triste Game over, ya que en la versión original nos daba un límite de 9 Continues mientras que aquí son infinitos tanto en el arrange mode como en el x68000 mode, podemos elegir el idioma de la interfaz, ya sean japonés, chino, coreano, frances e ingles. Sin duda alguna, es una bonita colección de 2 títulos, disfrutando una experiencia clásica y moderna de un solo juego, teniendo en cuenta que este es un juego en conmemoración del 30 aniversario de la franquicia, reviviendo este bonito clásico. Lo recomiendo mucho :)
