EDIT: the game's classic mode is a bit more palatable now. The game is still a mixed experience in terms of a Touhou fangame but the gameplay should be more balanced. Original review below. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Now that I got the chance to use Classic mode and got a Lunatic 1CC, I think I can see that the gameplay design choices are simply... too flawed to give a thumbs up, in my opinion. And I play a lot of questionable shmups. Wish there was a mixed option instead of a binary choice.
hitbox two times bigger than bullets themselves, flying slower than pickups.... nah im good

At the end of a run when i press enter the game always crashes. Also why does it have to be so incovenient that you always have to insert coins first in order to actually start the game, I managed to not read how you can insert coins which is written on the top of your screen, so I got a bit lost and didn`t know how to start the game. Decide for yourself.
Very challenging and very frustrating. Probably has some cool story for who is interested in that (I skipped through). The controlls feel very precise, as do hitboxes. The game is fair at all times. I don't quite like that you lose part of your upgrades if you still have multiple 1 ups and lost 1 of your lifes. Other than that solid game and probably a good addition for the Touhou franchise. Decide for yourself.
"Touhou Meijinka ~ Song of Divine Tempest" is a trashy mobile app tier bullet hell/shmup game ripping off the Touhou intellectual property (this is usually permitted if it's not for profit, as seems to be the case here). Borrowing someone else's intellectual property doesn't make a lame shmup better, though, it just makes the IP worse. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

東方を冠するのをやめてほしいクオリティ。 パワーアップ前に被弾するとパワーがマイナスになり、一切攻撃できなくなります。 ちゃんとテストプレイしたんか?
This game's plot is weird. From what I've gathered, this happens. PLOT: A magical storm has shown across Gensokyo and a mysterious concert is found. This concert has disturbed multiple other popular famous bands, mainly the Prismiver Sisters (Prismiver Sisters, Stage 4 Boss from Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom) Mystia (Mystia, Stage 2 boss from Touhou 8: Imperishable Night) and Kyouko (Kyouko is the stage 2 boss from Touhou 13: Ten Desires) With Gensokyo's denizens from the human village disturbed by this new concert and the relentless magical storm, Reimu, Marisa, Youmu or Sakuya show up to the concert, to find a robotic android woman who seems to be the singer responsible for the concert. Surprisingly, the concert looks more like a Christian/Catholic church, and most of the people you come across appear to be religious denizens whom worship God. After a plot twist or two, it seems Raiko (Extra stage boss from Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character) is apart of these religious people in the Church, playing for the concert too with her drums. After some dialogue with Raiko, we come to discover she may be an impostor of Raiko. Either way, Raiko (may or may not be an impostor, unsure.) created the magical thunderstorm so Reimu defeats her, essentially ending both the concert and the storm. EXTRA STAGE PLOT The following morning after the storm, there are rumours of another religious denizen who is also potentially the reason the concert was held. After a battle, both Reimu and her discuss the Hakurei/Shinto religion and her religion's reputation toward one another. The religious woman agrees to not cause any more trouble, in exchange for Reimu letting them off peacefully. TOO LAZY TO READ ALL ABOVE? GOT YOU COVERED. quick plot - Yukari let a bunch of Christians or Catholics into Gensokyo. They seek to spread the religion through the land by a giant thunderstorm (as representing god's power) and a concert (to bring happiness to mankind through music) which brings the attention of Reimu. Reimu goes into their church and beats em all up with Danmaku, and realises that Raiko (or maybe an impostor) has joined them, and she caused the storm! ACTUAL REVIEW Dodging the Danmaku was fun. For its price (free) it's mediocre, but the hour I spent playing it was enjoyable. The translations are terrible and lead to confusion on the game's plot, but I think the translation is just good enough for people to get the bare idea of what the game's incident is about. The pixel art was cute. I loved it. The Danmaku sprites were very nice. The music was ... mediocre, but that's expected, it's a free game. 5/10. Mediocre. Not good, not bad. Your average free bullet hell game. If you're bored it's worth giving the game a try. I think this was just an Arcade game uploaded onto Steam. It had two players, and an "Insert Coin" feature which is fixed by pressing TAB.
Çok zorlu ve çok sinir bozucu. Muhtemelen bununla ilgilenenler için harika bir hikayesi vardır (atladım). Kontroller, isabet kutuları gibi çok hassastır. Oyun her zaman adildir.
