About
Key Features
TADO features a large shared online world with solo and group content along with third-person action combat. TADO has classless progression system, as you level you gain skill points you can spend to gain access to a wide variety of different skills. Along with combat you can, craft, fish gather and explore both land and sea, and you can do it all together.
Whilst traditional experienced based levelling is important in TADO, you are free to invest the experience you earn in any of the many available statistics giving your character access to different skills, equipment and crafting opportunities.
Want to wield a great sword and cast dark magic? Specialize in the Occult along with Great Weapon fighting and crush your enemies with your power. Perhaps you're more the protector, preferring to keep their friends safe with your heavy armour and shield? Invest your skills into the Protection and Heavy Armour and keep your body between your enemies and those that would harm your friends. Maybe you don't know what you want to be and you just found a rare skill gem that allows you to shapeshift into a great bear to crush your enemies? Well spend your saved points in Druidism, equip your new ability and get right to it!
TADO also offers other more peaceful ways to earn coin and experience including transporting goods, gathering, crafting or even fishing.
TADO features a naval system allowing you to acquire ships and sail the world (with a crew of friends if you have one!) be you a trader buying and selling goods to earn that extra coin or a mighty hunter seeking rare sea creatures for the epic treasures. Playing through the story will see you setup with your first ship and sailing between various locations in the world in no time.
PvP experiences are available and optional, including event based activities you can sign up for and compete for valuable rewards.
TADO isn’t another aimless open world game that just drops you in the open and sends you about your business, there is a core story which you can play through at your own pace, introducing you into the world and setting you up as an adventurer before you make your own mark on the world.
TADO features plenty of solo-friendly content along with some harder dungeons and zones which will require you to bring your party or guild to overcome.
TADO isn’t a huge high budget game with all the edges shaven off in the name of homogeneous balance or maximum engagement, it’s not trying to be. If you’re looking for a place to chill out exploring, crafting rare items, digging up buried treasure, or hitting the seas in search of adventure then look no further.
Your Adventure awaits.

So, I don't really post reviews, in fact think this is my very first one - however, having played this game since servers launched and have over 1000+hrs in-game, I wanted to share my views. First off, this is an early access indie game - if you don't like occasional bugs, or not into grinding levels for hours at a time and crafting gear to grind more levels and get loot and specific drops - then maybe this won't appeal as much to you. That said, there are a multitude of AAA and other indie games in my library I play, put down and don't pick up again for a long time(if ever) - but with TADO, I always look forward to the patch notes, seeing its growth and continuing to grow my main character/equipment and experiment with my 4 other alts. This is a very small team that deliver an experience that works well for both solo & group play. 1 dev & 1 digital artist team have done a great job creating a open class MMORPG, that gives guidance - but not a fully 'hand-holding' experience - you need to go out and try stuff!!! The community is helpful and happy to answer questions, lots of feedback/ideas raised on the TADO discord and although has a small online in-game presence currently, the more that try TADO - the more will get hooked. If you are of an age remembering Ultima Online, Europa and the like (yes, am old and being gaming for c.30+ yrs), with a sprinkling of the vibes from older ESO games - you will have a sense of nostalgia with c.2000-style refined graphics and feel like playing those types with more modern day visuals, controls and a lovely world to explore. Also, take the time to climb a mountain or look up into the sky - it is a stunning vista at dawn & dusk in multiple locations to view across the different zones. Whilst there are frustrations with some game-play, as there are with any game, there has been 4 main large areas created for you to explore, refinement to the early start of the game, multiple dungeons, a huge sea with ships to sail, multiple areas to grind enemies for drops/levels - with more to come across all spaces. There are events & dungeons in each area, with elites (appropriate for the area) and the eternal grind for levels - as there is no level cap!!! The system you use to improve your character is a combination of stat points earned which you invest in a skill, as well as being able to gain benefits from armour, weapons & rings equipped to bolster your skill level in order to e.g. equip a particular spell/weapon/shield/etc... Note - currently, once you invest in a stat - you cannot move the points out, unless you have an specific item that allows you to 'refund' 10 points. There are future changes that will add to how you can change you character stat sheet via use of 'resting' at inns, which is coming soon at time of writing. There are 'trade skills' you need to level up, for gathering materials of different types in order to craft the next tier of weapons/armours (cannot craft rings currently). You can also re-roll stat (Str/Agi/Int) once you have reached a certain point in the main questline. As you progress, there are some items from particular events/enemies which you can use on dropped/crafted gear of a higher (blue) quality to really customise how you want it - but note, the more greedy you get - the chance you can overwrite something you don;t want to lose, the choice is yours!!!! Also worth noting are some set stat weapon drops that can only be got from a few event activities, with a small chance with RNG. Loot and XP are shared when in a group and subject to 'winning the roll' - although with some events, there are some which have individual drops, but not for all activities. There are points about this game that can be frustrating - i.e. no world map, sailing (whilst improved, but not ideal), needing more enemy types and density in some areas, amount of quests/ lack of repeatable quests - at time of writing. All that said, I look forward to features yet to come - Trading; Housing; Guilds; Lairs; Increase in character slots (currently 5); more quests; further refinement of main areas; further developing the main questline and much, much more. I hope this has given some insight into the game, without telling too much and spoiling the experience - but for the low price you pay, you will get hours upon hours of content and also with the cosmetic store (token shop - non-refundable) as you feel more invested in your character you can buy mounts, dyes, costumes and other items of use ( NO PTW ). Overall, I enjoy my experience with TADO - even when there are the odd frustrating moments, but know that this is shaping up to be a decent indie MMORPG that I can see several thousand more hours being put into for years to come and hope that the game gets the massive following it deserves. TADO is a game you can sink hundreds (or in mine and others cases thousands) of hours into, so IMLTHO - give it a try and help grow the community and players for the game.
I really wanted to like this game, I did. In fact, I knowingly played it beyond the 2 hour mark just to make sure I could not impulsively refund it. Now, what is "good enough" about the game to have stuck around? First of all, it's "uncharted". There are barely any guides or infos, meaning, you actually "find out things" on your own, which can be really rewarding. The graphics are not for everyone, but overall very pleasing. The new game mechanics look promising. That was the good. Now, the bad... The Lagg Spikes are insane. Things like interacting or switching weapons can take from "instant" to "2 seconds". Maybe it's because I'm in Europe, I don't know, but it is pretty annoying. But well, here comes the "ugly"... This is an MMORPG, with a lot of group activity in mind. But so far the population seems to be non existant. That would be fine, I guess, if the game took this into account. But it did not. Dungeons have insane respawn rates. So you can get rid of the trash, but if you take a tiny bit longer, than expected, be ready to fight those you literally JUST KILLED a second time over, and a third, and fourth... Untill you run or die. Same with Bosses. I am at the point where I actually COULD kill some dungeon bosses, but their infight health regen is so incredibly, indescribably absurd.... Sometimes the boss regenerates the damage I did with one swing in the time it takes my character to go through his animation for the SECOND swing. Which makes dungeons and especially bosses unkillable, untill you grind to the point where your damage is high enough to outperform the healing factor. But at this point there will be no more reason for you to kill said boss, because you will simply have outleveled him anyway. So yes, I'm willing to give this game a chance, but this ridiculous dungeon situation is driving me crazy. I simply can not understand, how such increadible mismanagement and imbalance is even possible. I will of course update my review, if the game, too, gets updated.
Game has a very fun early experience and feels very relaxing to play for the first few hours. Then the mid/late game comes and takes all of the fun away. Grinding is one of the worst things in the game and you need lots of it, like 80% of your hours played will be killing the same enemy camp over and over to increase level because level requirements are insanely high. Gear takes even more time to get as in order to craft it you need to invest even more hours. Could easily take a player a 100 hours just to have an ok character that you can change because there is no skill rerroll. Having said all of this the game has potential, but as of right now it is not worth it regardless of price.
I like the game so much that I have a 3rd account since there are no character slots yet First off there's barely any information about the game, but I have written some guides to hopefully help with the initial learning curve, highly recommend to join Discord Let's get some common questions out of the way: - There's basically 1 Dev and 1 Artist working on the game - There is NO level cap - Mostly solo, but there is group content, mainly the daily events - There is a cash shop, with mounts, costumes and dyes, purely cosmetic (which the players themselves demanded) - Sailing is a pain in the ass until you unlock World Trees which act as fast travel - Getting great gear is insanity and heavily RNG reliant - The game is still in a janky state, lots of skills are under-tuned or worse not work at all - Mage builds are hard to play and outperformed by most builds (except Occultism) - There's no world map available The average player will maybe get to around Lvl 100 or 200, with the latter being the minimum level required to tackle the current endgame. Getting to 200 is a journey in itself and in my opinion easily worth the game's asking price, with that said this is not the game for you if you have little patience. The "real" grind begins at Lvl 200. Amazing freedom in the classless system, but a "viable" multi-class build requires crazy levels (500+) Great community, very welcoming of new players and willing to help each other out Lastly, the current endgame is a loop of farming the same mobs for ungodly amounts of time, ruining your good gear and doing daily events
I don't write a lot of review but this game is something else man. And I say that in a good way. This is not a game for story, it is about crafting your way in an interesting and immersive world. There are tons of secrets to find, large zones, and multiple zones, lots of build capabilities, and the combat is fantastic! I am in love with the main gameplay loop. I'm 60+ hours in now and I still have soooo much to discover and I'm still finding hidden secrets and discover new npc's with new quests, still crafting better and better gear, and so much more. As a life long MMO player, this game has me absolutely hooked. Mind you, these 60 hours have been this week. That should show how much it has grabbed me. I will say, the game is pretty grindy, so if that isn't something you're into, take that into account. Also, the game doesn't have a massive community like most MMO's, but it has a very tight knit one, with everyone engaging with one another. I've talked to and played with almost every player I've come across. And I personally don't mind a good grind, as long as the gameplay loop is fun and solid. And to me, it certainly is. Hands down worth every penny in my opinion, and there is still more and more content being added to the game. Hell, as I type this, they are adding a huge update with an entire new zone for higher level players to explore. I'm not even close to being able to play this new content yet, but I'm looking forward to everything this game has in store. I'm very excited to see what this game will become over time and where it will go, and I have very high hopes for it. Solid recommend, even in Early Access!
I've played a lot of indie mmos. This one isn't very good. It's "got potential," but so do all of them. The combat is janky, there are no ingame resources of any kind, and the grind is extremely overtuned. Extreme walking/sailing simulator for no reason. Typical story of game with very little content masquerading as "very grindy/hardcore" Good community, but both them & the developers are very misguided and I don't see this ever being successful at all. Indie MMO's that attempt to charge for initial purchase of the game have failed 100% of the time historically, and this one is unfortunately no different. Developers do not seem to understand how many free games are available made by large teams of whose quality they simply can never match. The paid model is a luxury only known IPs have anymore.
For 8 bucks, this is a great little hidden gem with a low player count and a smooth little MMO system. Fun in a bun.
Occultism best caster
This is a SOLID MMORPG to play even at the current state! and the community is freaking amazing!
